Remember, there will still be a 6 year time span of their relationship. She's 22 now if I'm correct, she'll be 28 by the time they break up, then 4 years extra before they meet up again, she'll be 32. In his case, he's 28 now, 34 after 6 years, then 38 yrs old 4 years later. So, keeping it this way is the best realistically in my opinion.
