IKR! Winter break started last week and this drama and the Uncanny Valley have been keeping me on my toes for the weekend. I also picked up Secret Royal Inspector for Mondays and Tuesdays but its comedy is not as cleverly written as Mr Queen's.

I lost hope in MDL's algorithm recovering at all. I haven't done this yet but am thinking of using Ublock Origin to block the user scores for myself and just rely on comments and reviews to evaluate a drama. Seems more reliable than the wack af rating system we're stuck with.

Totally! So far, I haven't really found any scene where I was bored (maybe the scenes with the Grand Queen Dowager and the head of the Kim Clan). The strongest points really are the ML and the FL so thank god they're the focus of the drama.

This drama has a lot of interesting scenes for sure! Really loved the ramyeon scene.

I too am interested in the real queen as well. I think there might be a possibility of the real queen and Bong Hwan being stuck together (rather than it just being Bong Hwan).

It's not much of a spoiler and is quite apparent around 17 minutes in with how they filmed the moment when the ML sees FL. You could wait around for a while to see if others say the romance is a big part or not.

The jokes aren't that explicit but are mostly undertones.

The most explicit one I've seen is the one where the queen dowager describes a sex act (of course with everything censored). In E2, there is a joke about losing the dragon and dragon balls so take that as you will. We all have a different cup of tea so don't feel obligated to watch if you're uncomfortable. For me, these sorts of things are mild and I've seen more explicit things so I don't mind.

I am really loving the experience other than waiting for subs and the weekly airing times.

If by the chef, you are talking about the guy doing the voiceovers, he was also in The Heirs and Zombie Detective (the latter of which I really recommend also!).

If you mean the royal chef, the actor is the same guy as Archangel Hu from Angel's Last Mission where Shin Hye Sun was the female lead also.

We don't know that yet. I would actually think that the king does sleep with her or at the very least has an actual relationship with her compared to with So Yong.

I recommend you stick through with it. I liked it since the trailers but it does get better. E2 is pretty good with a lot of funny jokes so I think you should at least give that one a try before putting it on hold or dropping it completely. Usually, I try to judge a drama when I get to the 4th episode and I can say I wholeheartedly recommend Mr Queen.

True. I'm also watching The Uncanny Counter and it's a shame that one isn't airing this week. Thank god I still have Mr Queen to look forward to!

Angel's Last Mission is pretty good imo. I preferred it much more than TOTNT.

True. It really does depend on the country and area. I live in Yangon, Myanmar and I wouldn't imagine anyone would want to or even actually marry their cousin but further out into the rural areas, I wouldn't be surprised.

Also I remember you from the TOTNT threads! Hello! That drama had a disappointing end but I am very hopeful for this one. SHS is a wonderful actress.
