This was pleasantly surprising for the first episode. Seemed a bit fast-paced, but I get why they are doing that. I like that Krist seems more natural in his acting and it could be that the character is closer to how he is in real life which allows him to do a more playful take on Kawi. Gawin continues to improve and his facial emotions look very natural and not so stiff. I think GMM is trying to get him a couple for BL projects but for some reason, he doesn't stick with them. Maybe they are hoping that GawinKrist ship might sail and they will do more together.

Poor Aye always the girl in the middle fo the BL messy triangle.

Considering they're doing the fittings now, scouting locations, and reporting on meetings, what does that say…
Probably early fall to be honest.

They could have really just given them a baby at the end... Jigsaw's point to me was wasted. If I had a way, I would have tied him to the other universe for sure but in a twisted way where he would have been their "child" from the "future" and then he returns back to the other world and in the end, they get a call about an abandoned baby since they had been trying to adopt for some time now and that baby was Jigsaw all along and they learned to be a family, the end! *big Jigsaw would have been training his fathers how to care for him*

I mean I just didn't think it was logical for a child that small to be away from his parents without them worrying like hell, even if was with his uncle.

However, KUDOS to the team for making this at least more interesting than the actual VV show.

Seems interesting. I am still holding my breath...the first trailer with Mike did seem more interesting but this isn't bad either. Lets hope they keep this same energy when it actually drops!

"Trauma porn" - on target XD 6.5 for me too, which I regard is far from "bad". The drama has its good points however…
Agree there was a lot of space for improvement and if they keep this up in middle man, I don't know if I will even bother finishing it.

The moment Tane went to his dad, I knew I was going to lose it. Child is still traumatized by his mother's passing and his attachment to Yutaka (Yukata) is like a similar relationship and he loves him so much already! I was almost bawling.

This gets so emotional and then goes back to the fluff but it is done so tastefully.

This was a 6.5 for me for the way they handled Uea's trauma with King being supportive and portraying a good way to help someone who needs mental health help. I think it would have been an amazing drama if it had more episodes to explore the plot holes they left and also this was sort of sold to us as a Friends with Benefits type of drama and how they would overcome that to be a couple, but we mostly got trauma porn out of it. Not saying it was bad, just that I want a story that if they sell me something delivers on it. There is nothing wrong with just focusing on them overcoming their hangups about sleeping together and working together and keeping that a secret. There is also nothing wrong with just celebrating two dudes getting it on for their own pleasure and not ending up together. I've known many FWB that go their separate ways and still remain friends because what they needed at that moment was the pleasure of being with someone and once they fulfilled that, they moved on to what they are seeking.

Haha in my country we make a dish called "Arroz con Fideos" which is angel hair pasta fried with bacon and then we add uncooked rice and water and let it cook until the rice is nice and soft and the noodles/bacon has given it the flavor... That reminded me so much of my childhood and my mom/aunts making us that dish!

Why do they always think in Asian dramas a little rain will make you sick? Where did they get that idea from?…
Well rain doesn't make you sick, it is the damp clothes you keep on that makes you sick. so it makes sense that someone who is wet and gets into a car with the AC blasting on would have a higher chance of getting sick sine the body is working harder to keep them warm while also leaving them vulnerable to airborne viruses like the flu. This isn't fartfetched, but also in BL is is a tired trope because fangirls seem to love it when one partner gets sick and the other takes care of them.

I have been silently watching this drama because I have little to no energy to engage with people on here, but I do want to say something...

I know some are frustrated with Uea and also kind of victim-blaming him for going back to his family and putting up with his mother's abuse and willful ignorance of what her husband did and still tries to do to her son. However, we have to understand that many victims of abuse have a very difficult time cutting off their abusers for many reasons.

For Uea the way I interpret it is that 1) he probably feels a responsibility to protect his sister. He might believe that if his stepfather abused him, what's to stop him from doing the same to his daughter? Many abusers in a family unit will go from one child to another. 2) He loves his mother. Many children of abusive parents still have hope that their parents have an iota of love for them. These children are broken and they cannot fathom how their parents could be so cruel it was obvious that his mother isolated Uea from friends and probably other family members who could have stepped in earlier in his life.

3) Fear of cutting off and going no contact with his mother essentially means going NC with his sister. it is obvious that the mother uses the sister to have a hold of Uea. She will make sure that neither brother nor sister has a relationship if she sees that Uea finally wants to be done with her. She wants money more than anything from him. Uea is not only her punching bag but also her bank account.

I think that the characterization of Uea is quite realistic in many instances. Sure as an outsider looking in, we want to shake him and tell him that he doesn't need to be a pushover or allow people around him to take advantage of him, but if he hasn't sought counseling/treatment, it will be hard for him to break out of some habits.

I thought that was pretty obvious too!

This has been quite a neat surprise. Aside from the funky CGI (not too bad), everything else is just chef's kiss. I like that each episode is about a cursed object with the actual story being Dome and Khata's connection. I wonder if Dome is an Angel sent to cure Khata and has been trying to save Khata for centuries, but he always fails in his mission. Maybe something like Dome always falls for Khata when he isn't supposed to or Khata falls for Dome. Sure they haven't confirmed this to be BL but haven't denied it either, which makes sense if they want to keep the mystery and a sense of "are they or aren't they" going.

I'm loving that each character has a purpose.

Also, love how Khata just refuses to call Bam by her name. It is a cute banter between them and I think he does it to keep her at arm's length and not consider her a part of his "family" yet. Is like a stern father not allowing his son to have a gf lol

This was truly beautiful. I loved every single character and no matter how many disliked Jim, he was by far one of my favorites. Lin Ming and Jim were great as uncle and nephew. I loved every single dynamic of the characters.

This is going onto my top BL list. GMM redeemed themselves with Not ME and Moonlight Chicken in the BL/LGTBQ sphere. They were tittering on some thin rope with my tolerance level for their subpar BLs, but somewhere they started really investing in the story lines with Not Me and MLC. Even ATOTS despite having some meh moments, was still pretty decent.

I loved that this really focused on everyday issues that many people face, specially people of lower economical status. I liked that no one was villainized, but rather showed that individuals have all sides to them and that we all face our own biases in different ways.

Lin Ming's mother, Jam, is a pretty good representation of family members who have a hard time accepting a loved one being "different/gay/lesbian" but still try to understand despite their bias/phobia. She wasn't outright nasty about it, but was concerned as a mother and sister. She may not fully agree with Jim and Ming's choices, but she is learning because despite all of that, she loves them and that is what matters. Loving your family despite what who they chose to love.

Heart's mother also represented family members who have a hard time accepting another family member with a disability. The many stories throughout times of family shunning a disabled member, be it someone who was born with autism, or disfigured, or unable to walk etc. We have heard stories of the horrible ways that these individuals were treated, yet we also have heard of the many families who despite struggling with accepting a disabled family member, love them so much to actually learn how to live with them and make their lives better as well. She may have wanted to ignore the fact that Heart was no longer her "normal" child, but realizing how isolating and unfair she and her husband were being to their child, showed just how much she was also punishing herself and pushing him away from them. I loved that she finally accepted Heart completely as he is now and has worked hard to involve herself in his life making up for the lost time.

I really hope that the next BLs/LGBTQAI stories that come after this continue to improve on the story/script and not regress. I really hope GMM invests more into these types of stories.
