7.5/10 This was not terrible, but execution wise and script wise, it was lacking a lot. And sure some of the acting was not great, but lets be honest, without good directing/coaching you will get what you get, so the blame isn't solely on the actors. Plot-holes galore! My goodness, if they had tied the story in a lot better (tighter) this would have been such a good plot.
For a GMM drama, this was decent. They have way worse (looking at you Totoncholatee)
I don't think he even wants to try. I think he actually enjoys being miserable and uses his "poor" life as an…
It's quite the opposite. He is punishing himself and doesn't realize that the actions he chooses are actually hurting others as well. This episode was all about him realizing that he doesn't have to blame himself for what happened and he isn't responsible for the death of his lover. He has kept people at arm's length not allowing anyone to get close to him/his heart (the walls) because it is much easier to not deal with life and people. It is still a work in progress and he won't suddenly change over night. It will take time for him to let go of the guilt and also learn to interact in the right way with others.
Jim, please for the love of god just think before going haywire. He needs to take a different approach, and the…
The fact that his sister might be a homophobe is another element as to why Jim behaves the way he behaves with Ling. Maybe he sees the struggles Ling will have if his mother rejects him for loving Heart. Maybe Jim doesn't want his nephew to be "gay" like him so he doesn't go through the pain and heartache he himself has gone through from leaving his family (running away with his sister) to having to fight against his sister for liking men, to then having to actually be a parent to his nephew because his sister couldn't be bothered with "teenage boy" problems and also dealing with his lover's death. Just seems like some viewers can't see how so realistic Jim's character is.
Jim the type of mf that'd mad at the whole world and transfer his aggression to his loved ones.Cos what is this…
I noticed but I also think he might have had a rhinoplasty...only because you can kind of see where there is a scar under his nose (I say this because my friend got one done and it looks similar to his) still beautiful
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that they didn't put subtitles during LinHeart's dialogue. This was a very wise choice so we as viewers can UNDERSTAND how difficult it is for someone who is deaf to communicate with others. It was furthered implied when Ling and Heart's mother were talking about Heart's love for Western Movies since they have subtitles for foreign markets. We that live in Western Countries take for granted a lot of the fight that ADA organizations have done to ensure that people with disabilities are included in our society. The fact that we can put captions on our tvs/videos is thanks to those organizations fighting for it.
but that isn't the reality in many countries around the world. There a still places where having a disability is frown upon.
Unlike some people who have said they disliked this episode, I actually loved this one the most. There was a lot of societal critique as well as some remorse/guilt that many of us can't accept or know how to deal with.
Jim has not moved on from the loss of his lover. He hasn't grieved properly and that translates to trauma that he puts on to others because he just doesn't know how to deal with it. He is angry at himself and the world and lashes out at his nephew because that is a "safe place" because he knows that Ling will still love him, but the sad reality is that Jim doesn't see that this behavior can also push Ling away from him. IT is truly such a sad situation and some people are being unfair to Jim. I can totally understand where he is coming from and unless he learns to forgive himself and let go of the past, he will never learn to love again.
I'd like to point out that Heart's parents (especially his mother) aren't evil/villains etc. They are just parents that obviously had a hard time accepting their child has a disability and are still trying to process that. Is it right? No, but human beings are complicated AF and make some illogical decisions that to outsiders might seem horrible/odd.
Yes what they did was isolate their child from the world, but I honestly believe that they did it with misguided intentions. I think they were not just afraid of what could happen to Heart, but also of being judged/ridiculed. A lot of people tend to care too much about what others have to say and since Heart's father is a pretty big deal in his town, they probably felt the need to protect their "image"
Except that this happens even with hetero married couples. Actually over 50% of hetero married couples are divorced…
First where did I attack you? You asked imagine if this was a hetero couple and I simply stated that this happens even with them. You inferred it as it doesn't happen to them, when the reality is. Sorry for you friend, but that shit does happen and no where did I say it was okay. That's just life at this point. Sometimes (many times) it is better for kids to have separated parents that aren't toxic and actually co-parent. Staying together for the sake of your kids and then being toxic isn't going to help your kids' mental health. If anything it harms them more.
Parents that put their kids' needs above theirs know that being together while not loving/liking each other will breed resentment and make for a bad home environment.
For some reason I really feel like Jim is getting lost as a character maybe it is because of the amount of characters…
I think that was the point of the series/character. Jim doesn't want a complicated life, yet everyone around him has a complicated life and they all bring it back to him. He rejects it, doesn't want to add to it. He is probably feeling like he can't handle all of those things and wants to focus on the only thing he can control, which is his restaurant, but even that is being complicated by the potential selling of the building.
He isn't living for himself, which is why he is asked "what about your happiness"
This is the most unrealistic part of the show.. for a mother who loves her child, it is impossible that she didn't…
She can't be bothered to learn because she isn't accepting that her "perfect son" is not perfect and has a disability. This is pretty realistic and has happened many times. Not just with deaf people but anyone that suddenly has a disability, many parents aren't ready or willing to accept it.
Imagine Alan and Wen being a hetero couple with 2 children. Sorry dude, I felt out of love. Shit happens, lol.…
Except that this happens even with hetero married couples. Actually over 50% of hetero married couples are divorced that's actual stats. And those that aren't married but living together don't stay long together either. So I wonder what your morals would be for that?
WOW the conversations! The word play, the intention behind everything said...
The scene where the dude was like "excuse me let me rekindle your fire" and Wen was like "no need we are done" the finality and the double meaning! It was masterful.
Sorry but this is by far one of the best and smartest scripts to come out of a Thai BL. This is what I mean by giving us actual MEAT in a drama. Sure hot men are great to look at, but I personally want more story!
If you still think Earth is stiff after this episode, it probably means that you're a bad person.I don't get where…
I agree. A lot of people don't seem to understand the character that Earth is playing and how subtleness is part of the characterization he was comfortable doing because I personally think he is like that.
His scenes in the last two episodes have been so amazing and I love the way he showed authority without overacting it. Just a deep change in his voice and the way his eyes became focused!

PS. I am glad you are enjoying it.
I didn't even realize he was doing it this much until some people pointed it out, but after I just continued to ignore it. Might work for you.

Boy oh boy, this is by far his best acting!
