Title Hello Again!
this show is so cute and perfect if you're looking for a lighthearted romcom, also the main couple is really quite cute and dorky, a bit different to your typical dramaland couples, i really enjoyed this drama and the ost was soooo nice, i have to download like 4 of its songs or something haha.

Aw, they killed the female sect leader who the guy obsessed with looks liked. That's so sad because he was such a narcissist, but in the end there was something he liked more then his own face. I'm a bit confused though. When she was dying she said something like "what you told me last night. I wanted to say yes." Like, was a scene missing? Did he ask her to marry him or something? like, stupid editing, i know its kind of super irrelevant and their are thousands of other parts of the last episodes that make no sense, but if anyone knows what wasn't shown or if it was in the original book, it'd be great if you could tell me. I loved their love/hate friendship lol. like she was so done with him and his ego half the time but still hung out with him everyday HAHAHA.

omg. i loved han guang so much. he was so sassy and fed up with everyone getting hurt all the time and always complained like "if I ever save you again, i'll chop off my hands" but then he'd come running each time they got hurt anyway. Also his eye rolls were the best, watching him during the proposal scene of our main couple was hilarious, like everyone else was watching fondly and smiling but his face was just like "why am i even here", it's so funny cause he always acts like that, even at his own hot pot gathering, and yet he always shows up anyway XD It was also super cute how he'd try to be notajerk around his love interest. they were my fav couple, can't believe they killed him with tetanus TTTT He was so grumpy all the time but then he'd always wear that fluffy cloak and it was super cute. ahhhh, such a shame.

it'd be great if one day they released a version that was edited more carefully right from the beginning, as a gift to the fans or something. I doubt it'd ever happen, but i feel like if it happened somehow, it'd really give the show a whole new feeling and probs attract more fans, most of all it'd give the filming crew and actors' hard work an acceptable end product.

OMG the PROPOSAL from ep 40 WAS THE CUTEST and FUNNIEST moment I love it so much their chemistry is off the charts…
wait, they're filming a new drama together? could i ask what it's called? wow. im so happy for them, cause they're acting was so good its such a shame it was lost between the poor editing

omg. i love that the male lead used to be THAT guy in school: the guy you'd just stare at like -.- when you see him doing dumb shit in the corridors, and although he's grown up to be the "cool" ceo, 90% of the time he still acts the same as his playful (read idiotic) highschool self XD its the funniest and cutest thing, like who gave this manchild a company to run? (but also props to his serious side being thoughtful and good at his job) i love his personality, so interesting
On Put Your Head on My Shoulder Apr 21, 2019
would you look at that, a drama where the male lead isn't a jerk..... and everyone adores the show. shocking. revolutionary. there's something so cute and sweet and nice about this drama compared to others of similar plot. You can't stop smiling when you watch it and nothing is too cliche. It's high quality too and produced very well. I have super high hopes for the rest of the episodes.

The synopsis sounds like some sort of teen fanfic storyline ahah, high anticipations for Myungsoo as a male lead…
i can confirm i have read a ff with this exact plot lol. but will i still watch it? yes. hahah
On Suddenly This Summer Apr 19, 2019
For once a youth story where the main female character isn't portrayed as an idiot haha. There's a difference between making a very relatable character to many who isn't the best at school vs a character who can't butter toast without the help of the male lead doing it for her. I really liked her character and that is seriously a rare thing in chinese dramas, and the likeableness is emphasised by the actresses amazing acting skills. This was a really well written drama, with no bs and good acting. An ideal slice of life drama.

Title Good Bye, My Princess Spoiler
If you're looking for a total romcom story where it's all about their relationship then maybe this drama isn't…
I too love that they're tied to each other for all 3 lifetimes and maybe more. It's so eternal and epic and something desperately inevitable. Even if the outcome is tragedy, their fates continue to find each other again. Niceeeee. I really like their bickering relationship, it was done well and natural in this series. sometimes the whole "bickering" thing is a bit forced in dramas, like they hate each other for literally no reason (except plot), but you can see how if a real life XF and LCY existed, their personalities would grate on each other but they'd still be friends. But their bickering, omg, i love that they continue that even after they accept their feelings. It's my biggest pet peeve when a drama couple get together and suddenly their whole dynamic and personality change just to fit into the script of being a sweet couple or something. It's so..... out of character and makes it seem fake, not to mention it takes everything you liked out of the character's relationship in the first place. XF and LCY had their own style and it was centred around being good companions who enjoyed each other's company and expressed their deeper feelings through subtler means. Which imo equals adorable lol.

If you're looking for a total romcom story where it's all about their relationship then maybe this drama isn't…
Yep, I loved their relationship after their amnesia the most. When LCY was simply GXW, everything was lovely and perfect, but it was almost too sweet, too fake (not that i think LCY'S love for her was fake or that "GXW" is a fake side of him. GXW is definitely LCY without the crown, but that's the thing. The real and whole LCY includes him being CP, and i liked that XF still fell for him again even after seeing his darker sides too. The first time they fell in love i felt it was almost too fast; they only saw the good sides of each other, so watching them go through it a 2nd time in a different setting and pretence was honestly the best part for me lol. I also do love a love/hate relationship the most because i feel like people in them are the most honest with each other because they're not afraid to treat the other person like they won't leave even if they say something wrong . Funny that this usual dynamic would make a typical drama couple very honest with each other but in GMP, due to LCY's schemes, they have the most misunderstandings. Anyway, a super complex and intriguing love story.

I've had this drama in my Plan To Watch List for a while, but I'm still not sure if this drama is worth starting…
If you're looking for a total romcom story where it's all about their relationship then maybe this drama isn't for THAT type of mood , but the couple in this show is still the main point of this story, so it's not like the drama talks politics for 50 episodes straight (also yes there are lots of sweet scenes, especially at the beginning). Personally it's one of the most interesting and best love stories I've ever watched. The leads have amazing chemistry, created imo by their acting ability and also how their characters are written. You'd love the first half of it too, where it is very sweet, but even as a romance fan myself, i found the other dynamics they showed far more captivating (like their love-hate relationship etc.) I've seen more praise for the OST, cinematography etc. then complaint, and i didn't notice anything that stood out when watching it (this story definitely doesn't drag tho, so maybe these comments came from how fast it sometimes went??) so i think the editing is fine. I think they took out one kiss (which you can just watch on youtube lol) but i personally think it fits with the story better anyway for spoilerish reasons lol. Also the show is more like 39hrs cause each ep goes for 45min, if that makes the ep count less scary lol, but everything's high production from sets and costumes etc.. I really like the main couple, because you can see why they like each other, why they're good for each other (why they're bad for each other haha). I also like that they're actually FRIENDS and get along well. During the non-serious scenes, they are super super cute, especially as they're the two youngest people in the palace lol. But just to be warned, this love story isn't a typical one, but debating about it with everyone is what makes it all the more fun. I 10/10 recommend it, just as a great drama in itself.

Title Legend of Yun Xi Spoiler
Hey does the main couple have a good ending?????????????They must make it out alive and together...
No, one of them dies in the end. But it's really only in the last episode that the drama actually gets "sad" like, you can pretty much watch the cuteness (soooo cute, both the couples) as if it ends with a happy ending and not watch the last episode if you want and you won't know any better. (that's what I did lol till i got curious and watched the ending). But how they die isn't actually very sad or angsty. Anyway, it's a REALLY good drama, but i understand if you don't like sad endings cause I dont really either.
liteulkwin Apr 7, 2019
Totally agree. You said everything I wanted to which is why i had no reason to write a review XD I loved this drama for the same reasons. Much praise to everyone involved in the production. It will be hard to find an ancient drama that tops this one.

I wish I could pin this comment to the board! Every minute of this journey is worth it!
Seriously. As someone who avoids tragedies usually, this was the best drama I've watched in a long time. Don't be afraid to watch this show for the ending, it has a lot more to give then sadness; It's portrayal of love, fate, happiness and friendship is equally as spectacular as it's tragic moments. (perhaps this is what makes the sad parts hurt more) I'll never forget this show.
On A Girl & Three Sweethearts Mar 30, 2019
I can't really understand some of the bad reviews of this show. I thought it was a perfect little drama with all the feels of summer, the beach, brotherhood and of course romance. I really liked the setting, the beachy vibe at their restaurant that overlooked the sea, the hawaiian-themed bar owned by their friends and esplanade that they frequented where they played basketball, held festivals and joked around. I found all the characters extremely likeable. The eldest brother who had too much responsibility on his shoulders and sacrificed everything for his younger siblings, the classic tsundere kanata who silently cares the most for their restaurant and family, focusing only on perfecting his chefs skills, and the confident youngest brother who although is very free-spirited and a bit of a playboy, actually feels very inferior to his charismatic older brothers. I really liked how much they cared for each other and although had no parents like a typical family, tried their best to support each other. Of course I found the female lead very sweet as well. I liked her passion for her job and how she really cared for the brothers and the restaurant. Her and the other main lead were absolutely adorable and very cute. It's not the most original concept in the world, but it was done with it's own flair and I never once found it too cliche or had to roll my eyes at a trope i'd seen a thousand times. Don't go in expecting crazy drama or anything like that, it's a sweet almost slice of life show but it, but I liked the various conflicts that appeared and they were quite heart-touching at times. It's quite short and definitely doesn't drag or get boring. I really think people would enjoy this show if you want to watch a summer vacation romance with pretty scenery, heartwarming characters and young people trying to fulfil their dreams.

Title Mengfei Comes Across Spoiler
I too have trouble wrapping my head around the whole multiple wives thing in ancient chinese dramas lol. but anyway,…
i actually haven't watched the last 4 eps cause theyre not subbed yet. but im guessing you're asking if the main couple get together and yes, they do. i also very much doubt it'll end with a sad ending. The show is wayyyyy too light and slice-of-life to end in tragedy or something. If it does, i will be majorly surprised lol XD So i wouldn't be worried if, like me, you hate watching unhappy endings
On Suddenly Seventeen Mar 22, 2019
Loved the beginning and premise of this drama. A tight plot and great cast. One of the better time travel shows I've watched. Length is just perfect to binge over a day or two. it's fully subbed for anyone waiting for subs btw.
