has this drama episodes been cut? why do i feel like they're missing a bunch of scenes and talking about things that didnt happen. did they cut it down to 36 episodes?
i loved the atmoshpere of this show. i feel a bit silly for only watching it now, because im sure if i'd watched it when it had come out, it wouldve been more impactful. there is definitely somethign iconic and surreal about this show, and i can see why its a classic and a staple. and gong yoo is just such a perfect timeless looking person, it fit really well. i really just wish they'd aged her up quicker because i just couldnt really get into the romance until the end. its not so much about the age gap, but just the fact that in my eyes, a highschooler with her type of personality is just a "child" to me. having a crush adn liking him is totally fine. talking about marriage and stuff was a bit weird. i totally get that its a fantasy drama and also i love stories that tell unqiue type realtionships. i guess i couldnt stop comparing it to this jdrama called Takane and Hana, where the younger sister of an older woman fills in for a marriage meeting with a young ceo. i cant really remember exactly what happens, but their relationship slowly develops and is done in a right way, where the girl is very mature and responsible, and also knows she's still a child, and they kind of discuss it very businessy until she's of age and its not like he likes her from the beggining? but he also doesn't treat her like a child? but its also not platonic? idk how to explain, except that it didnt make me feel uncomfortable and was treated delicately????? anyway, i love bubbly and youthful female leads, but only because despite their mature age, they still see the fun in life, not because they're actually niave because they're young. if that makes sense? like, not to be cliche, but like "wow, this manic pixie girl person really exists and hasn't been jaded from being an adult" as opposed to "this kid is excited because theyre a kid and literally havent seen the world" does this make sense.
I think they addressed this a little bit in teh drama, but i woudlve loved just a bit more of a conversation about "until youre older" or "youre still young, you might not want these things when you're older" idk
im not shitting on this dramaa, cause i really liked most things about it, i just found the romance a little uncomfortable in the beginning, and then it didn't feel like it had much foudnation in the later half when she finally was older.
also, whats with changing up people's personnalites when they become older. why is she so jaded when she's older. yes i know she feels something is missing in her life during that time and is probably depressed, but i think the personality is just too different. kdramas always make people jaded when they age to show maturity, and it always makes them feel like a different person.
still thoroughly enjoyed this show, this was just a rant XD lmao
I am literally laughing out loud about your comment. hahaha
lmao, i think im confused because as others have mentioned, its technically correct, but it just sounds so awkward to my ears????? lmao. this got me questioning my whole existence
theres something wrong with the title of this show but im too dumb to know what grammar is. am i tripping? isnt it meant to be "her and her perfect husband" ... well now none of them sound right. lmao. maybe its the wording of the whole sentence? im getting a headache trying to work it out lol
The ending is a toss up for me. Either they stayed in the realm with the Elder because she was dying in the real…
its funny cause it should work the other way. a day in the real world is like 3 months in that realm. so they could live a whole life time there, hten get back and their friends would still be there. unless they stayed so long that 100 years passed in the real world and there was nothing left of their old life to go back to.
they shouldve made the bodyguard and hte princess get together. im sad. i liked him so much and he showed little hints of jealousy. if they'd been allowed more episodes i wonder....
this draw has a lot of flaws but also a lot of goodpoints. idk why but i was so entertained by this show. i think…
the ending is sort of sad for me. i wish they could all be together, i dont want them to be trapped in that place forever. but i did find that ending quite clever cause didnt know how they were going to make her come back from the dead
this draw has a lot of flaws but also a lot of goodpoints. idk why but i was so entertained by this show. i think it's cause of the shorter format? also i found alot of the magic interesting. there was a nice range of characters too. also the way they filmed certain shots with the ost was really pretty. plus the fighting was pretty good. sometimes the story made 0 sense tho, or it was rushed or very choppy. also didnt really like how the last 10 episodes went down.
Honestly, I hated this drama lol. His superpower is so awful and I don't know why the writers decided it would…
oh yeah... forgot about the old couple... they shouldve brought them back up and then made him sound like a hypocrite, forcing him to realise they could do this together
this was lowkey badly written as a whole, but also sometimes written well? i really enjoyed the side characters (the dr and assistant) the assistant especially was an amazing character. loved how she was sort of "ditzy" but also incredibly smart. like i myself am i bit of an airhead, but its not like i cant function, so i hate when "airhead" type characters are super one dimensional and degraded to childlike iq. its like, this drama was no where near perfect but i enjoyed most of it anyway? and it was pretty well paced, nothign really dragged. idk, its so weird, like, id rate it a 7.5 but i bumped it up to an 8 cause i enjoyed it so much???/ it is by farrrrrrrrrrr a perfect show tho. oh so many flaws as well XD
ok im seriously curious as someone who lives in teh countryside and in a completely different culture to anywhere…
btw, i call these kind of sceneries in my head as "aesthetic poverty" lmao, like in a way its kind of romantisizing an evironment where people are struggling, but then it also looks cool on camera lmao, with all the clutter and random things and the movie portrays it as "quirky" when in reality, its not all that fun.
ok im seriously curious as someone who lives in teh countryside and in a completely different culture to anywhere near china. do people in big cities really live like how its protrayed in this movie? like are the apartments really that small and is everything cramped, with stuff everywhere, and is this because its seriously expensive to buy anything else o r is this because of another reason? and i guess im asking about lower-mid class type of background, like the average person, like in this movie
the moment the older brother knealt down and said "will you go out with me" i had to pause and come hear immedietly. wtf. what the cringe. UM SIR. i lliterally cant, it doesnt help that hte FL is literally sooooooooooooo immature for her age. ok, phew, im gonna take some deep breaths and then press play, but bruh to the bruh, this is all sorts of uncomfy. old man, get off this little girls back. or im calling hte police XD not to mention the whole older brother thing with their close families, adn THEN the whol teacher mentor part, bro, you cant make this shit up, oh wait, this is just a tv show, i gueess you can make this shit up phahahhahahah
honestly, i really liked the friendship between the firefighters and all their interactions. This series also started out really good in the first epiosde or 2, but seriously butchered editing totally ruined the main characters for me. im only guessing they had to cut it down to 24 eps and tons of stuff had to be cut out. but the otherr side couples were so cute and sweet that i watched the rest for them, and they had some really nice scenes.
lmao, i cant believe the first thing she did when she found out her boyfriend has a phobia of needles is make…
thanks for the rec. ill put it on my plan to watch. ive been trying to get to all the dramas on my ptw from past years, so i honestly havent looked at any dramas that came out thiss year lmao XD
I think they addressed this a little bit in teh drama, but i woudlve loved just a bit more of a conversation about "until youre older" or "youre still young, you might not want these things when you're older" idk
