Anyway in IS its funny though, YY’s dream as a husband 180 degree different from he was as sovereign Lord, he become so obedient to YD and YD was the “boss” and the one who teased him. Its reversed role and i believe its actually his deep heart wish to become such loving gentle husband.
This also teach us to contemplate, are we now living the way/character we wish us to be or we restrain ourselves because of the society etc just as YY?
we can also learn what strong dedication and devotion are, from xuanye. Actually i think he is the most pityfull character in IS or any xianxia dramas, sifeng in LAR just had to go through 9 lifes to get xuanji, without his memory, which means he didnt know his previous suffering with xuanji. While xuanye had to go through hundreds of “lifes”, he had to repeat the war/effort to conquer the world, he had to make ranqing fell in love again with him (this one easy though 😝🤣) and he had to kill his wife and see her die in front of him hundred of times, and these all happen with his memory intact. what a never ending big effort and suffering.
Maybe our life actually just like xuanye, we are stubbornly wasting our life for unimportant goals, ambition etc. over and over again, who knows maybe it has been hundred cycle of lifes? Hahaha

For me, whats annoying not BE or HE, but rush ending. They didnt even have time to make proper scenes before and after they died. Just a few seconds before, they just celebrated their winning over huanqin, then everything changed. And after they died, the director also just added a few seconds before the end. So it obviously cut, and just like a roller coaster stopped in the middle of its ride, at its top height 🤣
