This is how you can tell if someone hasn't actually watched the series they're commenting on, yet still passes judgment. The series is based on a novel, so it's natural for the clichés from childhood to be included. However, what clearly indicates that you haven't watched the series is that the characters are not the same age, they have a significant age gap between them.
The girl is only 15 years old when she enters Jiuyi Mountain. It's unrealistic to expect romantic chemistry between the leads when she is an underage child and he is a reclusive adult priest who is supposed to refrain from having relationships. It's amusing to read your excuses on hating the drama without putting in any effort to at least get some gist of it. If you have criticisms, it's better to invest more thought into your comments rather than making transparent excuses.

Lol the captain obvious at work here: You entered a drama page that clearly stated it revolves around a master and disciple relationship, featuring a forbidden love story between above-mentioned master/disciple. It's only natural to come across certain clichés in such a setup. If you truly despise clichés and want to appear as an intellectual tired of them, you should put more effort into your comments. Your current remarks give off a strong reek of bitterness, seemingly stemming from unrelated reasons. 😂

Shi Ying, Zhu Yan, Zhi Yuan... missunderstandings and tragedy... meanwhile the two kids shows how the things should be getting done, busy on making babies... 😏

The misunderstandings are building the plot for a sweeter happy ending. A drama without heartache is a drama without soul, no point on watching it. IMO.

Tencent is garbage. If you love XZ and RM don't give them a penny more. They treated this drama and its cast like trash. They don't deserve a cent more, they already grabbed even too much.

No, is not. He is God's work in costume dramas, haters can suck a lemon.
Anyway, he already took on a male-centric script for a ming dynasty period drama. Probably it was his last work for tencent though.

If you are an "unbiansed multifan" then good for you, but I personally experienced a lot of biased fans who came on my personal page to badmouth this drama without shame and promote the other drama saying it is much better. So please speak for yourself.
