I absolutely adored these two last episodes, 30 and 31. I can say with a strong certainty, Xiao Zhan is such a stellar actor, he managed to make me have butterflies in my stomach just by looking at his glances, his adoring face when looking at JB, the small gestures and cute little details he manages to pull out, I never thought that such a soft and platonic scene could make me blush more than a sexy one, but these two have such an explosive chemistry that I couldn't stop giggling the entire time like a fool. I love this drama so much! Easily one of my fav romance c-dramas so far in spite of the rando annoying side characters, I don't even mind them anymore, and I'm not gonna lie, I don't know how but Xiao Zhan is becoming more and more hot and skilled as times goes by. He is just too good, he deserves all the praises he gets.

You won't find this kind of scrutiny on other actors' pages or in discussions about their dramas. People have these unrealistic expectations of Xiao Zhan, as if he's solely there to meet their outlandish demands. They're constantly criticizing every facet of his work, whether it's the plot of his dramas, his co-stars, or even the OST's, like who the fk they think they are?! Because he's a top-tier actor in the Chinese ent, anything less than perfection from him apparently warrants low ratings and heavy criticism. Then, ironically, these same people claim to be his 'fans.' Honestly, sometimes reading the comments drains me, and I can't help but feel second-hand embarrassment for these folks.

The bad rating was already there before the drama started to reveal it's shortcomings... it really has nothing to see with how the drama evolves, the downrating is not done by the drama watchers. I've seen lots of terrible dramas sporting ratings as high as 8.9 or higher in this website to be honest.
Both Tian Yu and the hockey boy are starring in JoL2, both receiving a copious amount of screen time in this drama for no good reason. I don't know you, but to me this smells so bad of stinky nepotism.
He just said in the today CCTV interview that he rather choose the uphill path and prove his worth through hard work even if it means long term commitment, he keeps repeating this since he was a newbie. You ppl either give up on preaching or adapt to his philosophy, or else you will keep be unhappy with his choices. 🤷♀️ He's a great actor and a great human being, perhaps he knows better what he's doing in his environment and cultural context.
