What kind of sour chickens are still downrating this drama? Is it because it beat out a certain idol drama again? 👀 I really don’t believe people can be that pressed over subtitles to downvote an obviously good show.

While I’ll acknowledge the subs may be an issue for some, please don’t down rate the show because of them. It’s something completely out of the show’s control.

I almost feel like overt romance would kill their vibe because it’s that tension that’s delicious. It’s like they permanently stay in that squabbling ambiguous state, which is usually the best part of most relationships in Cdramas.

I don’t read the subtitles too much. I just listen mostly. With the translated bits on Weibo, I can piece things together.

Yeah, I think if you don’t understand the work that went into getting it in English and getting them to acknowledge this show to foreign fans, you won’t understand why some fans are okay with MTL subs.

I’m at the point where I just watch stuff in pure Chinese so the subs don’t bother me so much. With them I can basically get what’s going on.

Ya Huamei broke 2 today in CVB ratings!!! This is not an easy feat for a show with no marketing and non traffic stars (actually some big traffic star shows can’t even break 1…but that’s another story…). Hats off to the cast and crew!!🎉🎉🎉

We probably weren’t even supposed to get this show in English so this will probably be the best we get. This crew doesn’t seem to have any marketing budget so it was probably the platforms doing it as cheap as possible.

I think companies just have a tendency to focus only on one talent and everyone else gets scraps. That’s why there’s that concept of First X of X company. It seems to be determined by who in the cohort gets a hit first and then it goes from there. But I think this logic is wrong because it puts all the eggs in one basket and doesn’t develop talent enough. This just shows it because the minute he has been given a good script, the results are amazing.

Ah, I won’t drag other actors down. Negative energy doesn’t make things positive. But, I do think Huanrui wasted LXY if they’re only now giving him ML lead roles. I think these companies focus too much on having one person support the company rather than diversifying their portfolio according to their talent’s strengths. I look at Jaywalk and if Dilreba goes, they’re done for because they didn’t bother to cultivate anyone else.

Yes, he seems like a gem. He’s definitely got a star air. I was really impressed when they said he really ate the chili sauce to get the spicy look in the scene. It’s the mark of a good actor. In the current climate, Huanrui are really idiots not to be giving him more ML roles.

Yes! A good drama can only be achieved by the total efforts of the actors and crew.

I feel like Xiao Ran used some English because we posted on her wall that foreign fans are watching. We told her foreign PXR and LXY fans have been working together to promote the show.

Haha, sorry not sorry. I didn’t know it would be this exciting either tbh😅 But at least you get watch it in real time and be suspicious with everyone else🤣I’ve never felt so paranoid while watching a show. It’s really brilliant.
