It is too judgemental to give a one size fits all conclusion on a character before a drama release. FYI, the same can be used to describe Esther Yu in Love Between Fairy and Devil and look how successful that drama did? Even Zhao Lusi in Romance Between Tiger and Rose... and most of her dramas. If you don't like this kind of heroine, feel free to put this on your "not interested" list. It is not necessary to spread negativity on a drama that has not even aired!

It really depends on your life experience.... this drama is better than what I was expecting. FL's behavior, her work place and the social events 😍 I've seen these in real life and this is one of the most accurate slice-of-life bits I've seen in cdramas. A lot of socialite events shown in cdramas are only a scene, a setup, this drama managed to capture the vibes correctly 😆 For Xu Kai's character, I've not known such men so I don't know, but feels quite authentic

It is a mature drama. I actually wouldn't advise teenage viewers for this, becos drama might feel too slow or pretentious. But if you have some years of working experience, FL's behavior, the socialite gatherings are very spot on!!

I am laughing my ass off in ep 9. Yang Mi's character become PI 😂😂 It is a fun drama, if you don't take the hospital setting too seriously

I almost want to drop this drama at ep 6, but push through and I realize you can't watch this as a medical drama. It is chicken soup for the soul 😅 The stories get more heartwarming later

Your rant is mine exactly.... I was hoping this would be similar to Dr. Tang but it is turning into Beloved Life. It is about social stories while masquerading as a medical drama. I'm really upset with what the script reduced the supporting characters to, cardboard cutouts with no personalities of their own. I really like Bai Yu and Yang Mi in this though.... acting is good.

Btw, those looking for similar drama can try Time Seems to have Forgotten. It is slower pace and not as melodramatic. Ignore aon, don't give up on this drama. From ep 14 onwards, things get really exciting.... there's a case quite similar to Murder at the Orient Express, the setup to entrap the victim is very cool (and a bit scary)

I've watched quite a few police investigation dramas this year and this is insanely good!!!! Legit the best this year 🤩

If you understand Chinese or if you don't then watch the drama with subs at Youku. Don't watch it raw else you won't understand what is going on.

I'm at ep 21 and I wanna give this a standing ovation. The planning, and how cautious the mastermind was..... When ML finally discover who it is, the way everything clicks into place is soo goooood to watch!!

This is a rare investigation drama that takes its time to show viewers the issues it face and how the ML had to dig and dig until he finally gets to the truth. There are also several other murders in the process, it isn't just one drug case. It is quite depressing however and scriptwriters seem to have something against happy couples..... This is quite a stunning mystery suspense drama ❤️

Special shoutout to the actress who played the killer in ep 14. For a guest role that is only few minutes, her acting was really quite scary.
