I'm waiting so I can watch ep 11, 12, 13, & 14 all together.
They all look good π€£ the story is good. But I am not good with waiting π¬π¬ I salute you π«‘ I have waited 2 years for DYX and when LYST came out I did not eat lunch with my coworkes for the entire August π I was so busy π€ͺ
Anyone watched episode 11? I just love their acting. ML is really good in giving all possible types of "smiles" and then when he claps... I really like that scene.
yes, watched it 2x just make sure I wasn't tripping lol
Who's complaining π« but I do appreciate his acting improving on top of his look s, otherwise it would just get boring after some time if he has nothing else to offer π
Another thing, ML knows the boy is not her son because the boy is 7 yrs old while she was only in marriage for…
Yes, the script here is really good so far and they developed main characters enough for it to not feel flat. I agree, first we had the walls he put up and then they are crumbling and his heartbreak is showing. Love it. I loved Seal of Love but he is way better now. Just compare the ending scene when he was dying (crying) in Seal of Love and his flashback from ep. 8 (ish) when he thought he was dying in this show. Man, I cried with him this time he touched me. And his acting with the kid actor is also great, he has a great chemistry with the kid.

Well he most certainly plays the π₯ card here, but he is really carismatic so it is not hard I suppose. He is always pretty in his dramas and he is already a really good kisser so in that area he is well rounded. However, considering his older dramas, the acting in this drama is way better here, you can se he worked on it, the micro expressions he gives that make you feel like you can follow the inner thoughts of a character and analyze the behaviour and the eyes man, he is now acting with his eyes too. I expect him to challenge himself and his range, and have more complex roles in the future not just pretty prince.
Well according to the novel - the deed - no. However, in the novel that particular scene was much more explicit…
If you scroll down the comment section you can find that somebody posted the link of the novel. However it is in mandarin and is not translated to english. You can use Google Translate, but I found its translation was rather silly, so I used free AI tool.
Expected Feb 13 - of course iQiyi would air this against Judge Dee for Spring Festival!!!
Let's hope it will air on Feb 13. I also hope it will be successfull (considering the rival dramas). I want DYX to finally have that one big drama. TROTAR was long time ago.

Yes, the dubber is like a cherry on top. ML's acting is really good here and I do not toss this lightly, but the dubber is like lifting it even more, the tone of the voice, the emotions. I expect a full length drama from ML next and he should keep this dubber ππ«
ok yβall question are they just intensely kissing or do they actually you know, do the deed π
Well according to the novel - the deed - no. However, in the novel that particular scene was much more explicit and to me had the purpose of humiliating her "to show who's the boss now". But imo, the ML in drama is portrayed with much more compassion than in the novel and besides provoking her due to his jealousy and hurt feelings, he is unable to do anything that can really harm her (hence the title). We can see it in the episode 3. when he actually protected her from the eyes of Chu after ordering her to undress. Drama ML is less toxic yandere, so I think that scene is made "open", if you know the novel they didn't rule anything out, but if you are only watching the drama then take it as you are served.

Agree on everything, so we will see how they chose to play it out in the drama itself. Maybe they will get to the novel end a different way. π Honestly I do not care much what is added, as long as nothing is taken from the novel plot and we can see that is not the case so far. Btw I have a feeling that this is the best drama so far from Richard, not only because he is so π₯ here, but also I feel that his acting is more refined here, the micro expressions, emotions. Maybe this grayish character suits him.

Tbh I think he was too good in the novel, like unrealistically low ego for the Emperor. He was such a side character that served the author only when the story needed. I have always thought he had an edge in marrying her (other than novel explanation) and waited for that twist that never came. So now I am super happy π π After all we do need a villain in every romance π a 3rd party they have to fight against so that FL can realise how much she loves ML and ML gets a chance to do impossible heroic acts for their love π€π€ it's a magic formula π€«π€«π€«

However it seems they added some stuff that was not in the novel. So far it follows the novel but from the previews of 9. and 10. ep I do see some scenes that are not from the novel. Perhaps they added more to their relationship development.
π If they wanted to lure us, they succeeded - Richard Li Fei is π₯. I hope it will not be too long untill we get eng subs. I wonder if he will get a standard length drama after this show perhaps. He would be good even as a villain or SML or any "grayish" character.
Ding yuxi is just a phenomenal actor man... No words can even come close enough when it comes to describing his…
Yes! That! I wish him all success! He is good with comedy, with emotional scenes, I even find him pretty believable in action scenes. He does look like he is flexible and athletic. DYX is in my opinion a well-rounded actor. Sadly that Cnetz only fixate on his look. I actually find him rather charming.

Also, I have read somewhere that the FL actress said that ML Li Fei did all the stunts in the drama by himself.
For the drama, I hope they will stick to the novel ending π€
