I skimmed through the novel long time ago and I only remember ML put FL under some spell in order to marry her. Is that going to be here or that plot is already used with Ruoshi? Wdy think?

Is it any good? Should I watch?
I am DYX fan and also loveed LBFAD. I also loved Moonlight.
But atm, I really want some quality writing like LBFAD with good story plot and good character development and not just pretty faces.
Should I watch? Will it disappoint? 🫣

I actually do not find him to be soft in appearance. Boyish perhaps but not soft or meak.
To me he has a sharp and expressive face, and he showed he could play strong, crazy characters early on with Dongfang Bubai.
I think he was just too thin and aged slowly for a long time so he couldn't carry more masculine roles. Now that they have allowed him to have more weight and with his age nearing 30 he is maturing and the way he carries himself changes so he is able to be good in these roles where he has to play a man not a boy.
I think the best is yet to come from him. 💫

Yes, I agree, that is why I said he would be great SML in a big drama. He is getting better and he has potential but he still does not have that strong presence ML should have. E.g. comparing Richard Li to my other favourite DYX I can the see a clear difference. I can see Richard easily as some brother-in-law of the ML, or excentric frend from childhood whith his own love story etc, but still not as a ML.
Tbh there also some MLs out there that would also be better off as SML. Same goes for FLs. So we never know 😄

But good acting though from both of them 💫

Yes he is really versatile. And a really great actor.
His bored face, but fierce stature is really good. I hope he will suffer in this drama so we can see all the range of emotions 🤣🤣🤣

Yess how did he pull it of. He changed for better. Before he was so boyish and charming but now I can see him as a 🔥 ML 😄

DYX is so mature and masculine in this wow 😱 I never thought he can do it when he had that boyish charm. There is 2 year difference between shooting of LYST and this but the change is huge. What did he do, he is on 🔥 😄

I also have this feeling that, even though he is dashing as always, this drama tried to tone down the focus on his appereance a little bit. Like he IS beautiful but he had only one scene with his TM kiss and we had some abs, but overall I feel this drama is more about script and acting and is more serious than all of his short dramas before. Maybe I'm wrong idk.

Yess. But after this drama finishes airing and support role in Shui Long Yin I haven't seen that he had any other projects, of any length. We might watch him next in 2026 😬
