Well he is not so crazy as they showed him at the beginning. I doo think the drama has a timelapse problem where for the purpose of the second leads's tragedy the events are suddenly 6 months or so "later". Even though it serves well for the story line SL it gives a time buffer of 6months or even more to our main leads to be happy, settle in happines, ML to start "relaxing" into hapiness so his sickness can flare up. If they wanted to show all this and timeframe is good, fhen I guess the drama is too fast paced and they forgot to give us hints that ML still plots his revenge behind the scene. This way it looks like he fell in love, is happy, gave up his revenge and is now pitifully dying for love.

He's an emperor. His ego is very fragile and his power is everything to him. Since he could not kill FL's brother he is reminded everyday of his existence. For people like that humiliation of others is a drug that feed the ego. Plus I think he might be sadistic due to his treatment of JMY. I hope he dies terribly.
Second leads' fate mimics the fate of ML's Na family that was ruined by Emperor and his wife. Actually it feels like everyone's lives are ruined by the emperor and family, except for the FL but she was also poisoned and manipulated by the CP, she was just saved in time by ML.

What do you guys think of Richard Li's acting in this drama?
He is still swoon worty as ever (if not more), has that cute and masculine vibe and still an excellent kisser 🫣. There is nothing to improve there.
However, regarding his acting I think that he is better and better in each new drama and I think that currently he would be a great SML in a big drama.
So I am wondering what you guys think about the Richard's acting skill here, especially if you have watched his other shows. Any criticism is very welcomed 🙃

I agree. The father is also a monster. He taught her that she is worthless as a person, does not deserve anything and her value is in being obedient tool for him. So she ended up tragic.
The surroundings while growing up really shape the initial reaction to life events. I think we can see the difference between FL and SFL in their upbringing, character itself and consequentially their readiness to confront life events.
As much as I hate self-victimization entertained by female characters like this, I do like the script in this one 🙃

Ep.16 is so tragic for JMY.
She was kind hearted but rather naive and inexperienced in life. I think she was only taught that to life peacefully she only had to be obedient and lacked real life experiences where she can acutally make anydecesions. This was her first life experience where she could learn more about people as well as herself. Sadly, she didn't have a chance to try and change her life and be more bold. This naivette cost her everything.

I thought so too untill the scene where he kicks his kneeling servant with his leg and shouts. I remember watching the bts footage of that scene and the yelling voice sounded very similar. So that confused me haha

Looks like it to me. I was sure it is her own voice. If not then the dubbed voice for her character is very similar to her real voice from bts footage.
Regarding the Richard, I am not sure...

As far as I know Richard Li was always dubbed. But this time I am giving it a benefit of a doubt 😄

He has 2 almost 3 now finished, unaired dramas. Let's wait and see 👀

Aham. Imho he has always been charismatic but rather boyish. Tbh I never saw him as a strong, cold, macho, 🔥 ML.
I really wonder now if he can pull out that manly vibe. If he can I welcome it 🤭

Yeah, could be. I have this weird idea that YZH saved LB back then, and made him a cat demon and since General Qiu knew YZH, he also knew about this event too. What if he made YZH do that. Idk it's just my weird thoughts.
I can't wait for them to reveal us the background of all this and what really happened 3 years ago.

Yeah General Qiu works for hooded people. And Liu knew that and used the opportunity that General Qiu being ill to insert himself I guess as we can se he was power hungry. I wonder what is the Empress' role there.

I somehow think general Qiu knows li Bing is a White Demon Cat from long ago. At the ending scene, he only saw a white demon cat. He did not see it transform into Li Bing. Yet he said Li Bing. I guess he was surprised because he expected Demon Cat suspect in dungeon to be YZH or someone else but not Li Bing. I think this indicates he knows from long ago that Li Bing is also a cat demon like YZH.
So I am wondering how he knows. What did I miss 😅

Yeah, but it looked like he somehow maybe already knew or suspected.
Perhaps, I got this feeling because it is not disclosed to the audience how much he actually knows about cat demons and if he knows YZH is a demon too. So I always felt like at one moment he might know something and then on the other nah, he knows nothing.

Does general Qui know Li Bing is a cat?
Did I miss something? I thought only Chen Si (and YZH) knew he was a cat demon 🤔
