Damm. I knew they'll make us wait till the Christmas week for his memory to return - hopefully when he regains his memory and leaves that crazy Se Ra at the altar. I see the story going there.
This 2 months storyline is really stupid and getting annoying. The writers/PD are like, let's make it only 2 months so it won't seem icky she got together with her dead boyfriend's brother. If they had made it at least 1 year to even 6 months, it might be believable how a strong, talented, beautiful woman can still be affected by it 10 years later, and why everybody's reacting so negatively.
Instead, it just makes the ex-fiancée look crazy, and the parents even more so. First of all, it's not like the anybody in Korea knew they were dating - they dated in France, and he was cheating so it was on the downlow. Second, if it's just 2 months, it's not like they were married or even engaged - therefore we, the viewers, cannot understand why the parents are reacting like that.
It's basically creating drama for the sake of creating drama so they'll have 16 episodes of drama, pain and heartbreak, IMO.
I laughed like crazy when in the preview, he said he can't marry her. Hahahaha
That Se Ra is a real bitch. Beating the older boy and teaching the young one bad things like not to apologise and to be entitled to his father's company.
Se Ra's mother is equally horrible. Stealing millions of dollars then just selling it off cheaply. Horrible mother and daughter.
And the Dan Dan's stepmother, another entitled one. Expecting her husband to support her entire family - her, her son, her mother, her Uncle and niece. Any other man would have kicked them all to the kerb early on.
Poor kids having to deal with the trauma of her quitting every other week… And yes I’m annoyed by that amnesia…

Anyway, the amnesia storyline is still not resolved in Ep 18, and the annoying characters of Thumbs Up, Greedy Stepmom and Se Ra are dominating this episode. I didn't sign up for so much of them these last two episodes. I hope they resolve this by next week or I'll start losing interest.
Also, her quitting, again, at this point it's emotional abuse of the children as predictably, they're upset and crying she's leaving.
I really can't stand the thieving Thumps Up Mother of Se Ra. She's so damm irritating, and now she's a thief. Don't know which of these annoying mothers I dislike the most - Dan Dan's Silly Stepmother, thieving Thumps Up or the Greedy Stepmother. They're the worst part of this otherwise delightful show.

I am not ready to say goodbye to my favourite Couple of the Kdrama World 2021 tomorrow! It's definitely one of my favoutote Kdrama of 2021 and worth a rewatch. It's such a sweet, quirky show, beautifully filmed and with great OST and even better leads.
MH is probably one of the healthiest and beter ML around, supportive and sweet. I love that they had a proper kiss, and actually showed a bedroom scene and a morning after scene. I so hate all those dead fish kisses and showing characters in their 30s who apparently have never been kissed, held hands or any kind of skinship. This couple knows what they want, and they go after it.
Ready for their happy ever after tomorrow! I mean, the writer better be giving us a happy ending or we'll all riot!
I wish they were showing this every day! It'll take forever for it to get to 50 episodes! OMG, I've just checked MDL - it'll end only next year March !! What?!!!
Episode 15 was a tearfest. I basically cried from start to end. Every story brought on tears. I'll say that the show was more than the two leads, it was an ensemble piece. The acting was superb all round. That's how they were able to stretch a movie to 16 episodes, with great side stories.
Episode 16 was tears one quarter, then smiles thereafter. I love the other love stories in the show. It was such a feel good drama, with great character writing for all the side characters.
I was losing a little interest in the show after they declared their love to each other because it was so childish and cringe how these 30somethings act like young teens. The very adult conversation she had with the PD saved that cringy episode and the dialogue was super writing. Also the development of that second love story was really the sweetest. I love the friend and the policeman side story - now, that was pretty mature and grew well. All in all, it was a feel good drama, about love, loss, family and belonging, and it cheered me up and made me smile. A slice of life drama with great side characters with interesting stories of their own, that were equally well written too.
I am actually liking this drama more and more each week. It's funny and the two leads are likeable. I wasn't going to watch this show because the FL didn't impress me in The Devil Judge. She rocks a different vibe and feel here. Like 360 degrees different. There, she was quite basic. here, she's refinement personified. I rock her styling each week, from hair to clothes to shoes. Her speaking style too.
The standout here though, is the ML. Never seen him in anything before but he's got real comedic chops, plus he can act too. They're both just adorable together. I love how he changes himself , subconsciously, around her but doesn't infantilise her or treat her like a Princess. As he told that jerk, she's a smart, confident woman.
I'm just surprise more are not watching this show or that the rating is not higher. It deserves more likes and views.
I don't normally watch dramas with more than 16 episodes, with 20 being my limit. I started watching this because I'm already watching too many Fri - Sun dramas (almost all!)and I was waiting for the others to be subbed and uploaded. It's surprisingly captured my interest though like what everyone is saying, the plot is moving surprisingly fast, like a 16 parter instead.
The children, well, actually make that the youngest one, is really my favourite. He's the cutest, most adorable thing ever, and I replay all his parts to watch his cute, mischievous, adorable grins and smiles. He's such a happy kid. And for such a young child, his acting is good too. He just tags at your heartstrings when he cries or makes his pleas.
All the mothers in this show are shown in a terrible light. Most of them are either irritating, obnoxious, leeches, irresponsible, greedy or a mix of it, if not all for a couple. The writers having mother issues? LOL.
Every other remark has been about the fast pace of thsi show. Maybe that's what sucks us in to continue watching it. If it had been the regular long form drama, I doubt I would have continued watching it. Anyway, let me make some guesses where this drama could go next, for 42 more episodes.
1. Anna turns out to be his real sister, yea, the father was spreading it around! Which makes FL his niece. So haha, no.
2. Anna dies and leaves her her business and fortune. DD goes away to America with her before that and doesn't come back for several years. So DD comes back as his equal, and they finally get together and get married, all in the last 10 episodes!
3. The daughter doesn't like that DD gets with her dad, runs away, gets involve with a bad gang, and DD rescues her, again.
4. The biological father of the youngest finds out it's his son, and the storyline can go several ways. He, being the louse, will attempt to blackmail her. She, desperate for him to go away, will kill him. That seems a bit too much for this drama, so I'll say he blackmails her or him, and he finds out the truth. But DD, being the kind soul she is, will ensure the boy has a relationship with her.
Ok, I was just having fun pretending I am the scriptwriter, curious to know how they were going to fill up 42 episodes! Yea, sorry, the rest don't interest me for now so can't be bother to think about their storyline. The mothers are by and large irritants so Ill just ignore them. I just know they will be causing a lot more problems going forward.
OMG. The ending made sitting through the entire uncomfortable toilet humour, coupled with poop and toilet disaster, that I cringed watched in horror, add in fight - seriously the earlier parts were cringe.
Did anyone felt the horror I felt when he got into her clean bed with the clothes he unclogged, washed and cleaned and the clogged toilet with?! I was so horrified! Sure it's just a show but still, I couldn't stop asking....OMG! You got into the bed with poop - covered clothes! Ewww!
Ok, the ending with the CGI sunset and the fabulous balcony view of the ocean from the suite was lovely. But the hot, hot passionate make-out, that helped mollified how uncomfortable the first part of the show was to me. It really was too much. I couldn't even laugh at the intestine cells.
This show is beautifully filmed. I'm enjoying it along with Hometown Cha Cha Cha. But like someone said, the pacing is all over the place. The beautiful cinematography and art direction helps distract from the wobbly editing and storytelling. Still, Episode 3 made me appreciate calligraphy and ink brush painting, the painting competition was beautifully done. And it helps that our couple look good together. Wasn't a fan of the ML in hisn previous dramas but he fits in here and they've dressed and filmed him beautifully too. In fact, the whole show is like a painting, it's just gorgeously filmed/
