I haven’t watched it but it looks like Brazilians have issues with this show and are trying to tank its ratings…
No wonder I suddenly saw a few "reviews" on the front page , taning and rating it down low to even 1.5, I was like, WTF? How come suddenly there's so many bad reviews of it even before it's completed? Also, suddenly Twinkling Watermelon is being reviewed and highly praised while Lovely Runner is being bashed. It's on the Latest Reviews - there's like suddenly an influx of both.
The confrontation with the mother was beautifully done. Probably one of the best I've seen in shows with similar premise. No hysteria, no anger, no shouting, just a calm confrontation. It's a testament to PEB acting that you see the tears brimming, and sense the emotional turmoil underneath but it was all contained.
I loved the ending statement she made when she was asked if she resented her. She just stated that she loved the time they had spent under the tree. It was such a poignant moment, sad, but it wasn't awful. Indeed, our little whale has now grown up.
Happy ending? So I can continue I don’t want to be disappointed lol
Yes, of course. Happy endings for everybody. The most satisfying last 2 episodes of any dramas in years. everything wrapped up well. Watch it - you'll smile. throughout.

I don't think the ml was nasty at all.. Very narcissistic and abrupt yes but not nasty. He was just very matter…
Yea, I found Goblin and Descendants of the Sun boring even though they were super popular but I loved W - Two Worlds, which people either hate or love. Same with Memories of the Alhambra. We all have different tastes, likes and dislikes, even for the actors and actresses,. Mature adults recognize that and can have a discussion without resorting to childish retorts like - oh you must be a hater. Cue eye-roll here. Yea, I got that and just blocked the childish person immediately cos I'll rather spend my time watching kdramas than getting annoyed with strangers.
And yes, I loved CLOY but script was very old fashion so I understand why you found it boring. The sizzling chemistry and great acting of the leads and supporting was what elevated it. I mean Hyun Bin was swoony here!
Strangely for this show Crazy Love - although a lot of people are criticising Krystal, I don't have an issue with her. I found her acting to be believable and thought she was good as Miss Meek and Mild.

I'm actually a huge fan of the ML from Coffee Prince to The Guest and Her Private Life. So no idea why I just wasn't feeling the character and show even though I've watched similar themed dramas before, and 2 of the same ilk now.
I was just having fun guessing what was to come after watching the trailer, and it's just a crazy wild guess and probably wrong. Maybe her appearance in that black motorcycle suit reminds me of Bad and Crazy.
Glad you're enjoying it. We all have different tastes so different dramas appeal to different people. Enjoy the show.
It took me a while to finally get through Episode 1 - the make lead was just so nasty and not in a funny way too. It was just uncomfortable to see him be so nasty and demeaning to everybody and it wasn't funny, unlike say, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim or even The Secret Life of My Secretary. They riffed off a lot of movies like Good Will Hunting with that cleaner savant scene, and again, it wasn't even tongue-in-cheek riff funny.
I just saw the trailer for Ep 2 and I can see where the show is probably going.......
....They're going to turn her in Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and her brain cancer is gonna be the the cause of her split personality, where her Dark Phoenix transformation character is everything she's not, as a meek and mild bullied forgettable secretary. And then the fun begins....I think.
There's a lot of kdramas that's started in the last couple of weeks that I can barely keep up. For example, Business Proposal is similar in concept and even though Ahn Hyo Seop is not a very good actor and doesn't have the charisma and X-factor of Park Seo-jun, and the show is very cliché, troupe ridden and we've seen in all before in the the 2 shows mentioned above, Kim Se Jeong more than makes up for it , and the Grandpa and her bestie are funny and is a much better script.
So yea, I probably will put this show on hold with so much to watch.
Everyone who's frustrated with the storyline of Se Ra can come back next week! Finally, his damm memory returns and she's finally kicked out of the house - but next week! She deserves it. It was so satisfying to see even the Greedy Stepmom and the Housekeeper threw salt at her. She's evil alright.
And now all the other loose threads are gonna be squeezed in last few episodes. The stupid ex-BF is now seeking custody of our cute SJ!
This is sooooo irritating. Like hello! The show is about Young Lady and gentleman, DD and YG, not Crazy Lady and Gentleman. As we've all guessed. crazy SR is pregnant and pretending it's the Chairman's. It's not even a spoiler as we're all expecting this plotline and dreading it. This is so freaking irritating as we're now in the last 10 episodes.
There used to be so many fans and the comments would be like crazy but so many gave up after the draggy double amnesia plot and way too much of Se Ra. They know the viewers don't like her yet they keep bringing her back. She's got more airtime than all the other actors and actresses in the entire show and it's frustrating. It's like she's the Main Main lead.
On MDL, the ratings went from 9 to 8.5 to 8 and now sits at a low 7.8. Disappointing.
My first and last long family drama and I'll avoid this writer shows from now on.
I am only hanging on in there for the kids. SJ is the cutest ever and best actor in this whole drama, and loving SC and his shenanigans. Honestly the kids are the best thing about this show.
This is my first weekend drama ever - and it'll be my last. Is it always like this? I've never seen a show with so many awful every day characters. They are, some or all of the following: Irritating Annoying Shameless Greedy Selfish Lacking conscience and scruples Physically and verbally abusive
Like I can't stand Dan Dan's abusive father, his first love amoral Anna, his foolish greedy wife, the awful parasite leech of a shameless mistress, the Thumbs up thief of a mother and her delusional crazy daughter who needs a psychiatrist .
The saving grace of this show and why I am still watching are the kids , who I am seriously worried about, making them act so trumatised like this. I only like our 3 young couples - DD and YG, MR and sort of cousin, and of course SR and DB. Their romances are all star crossed, problematic, and all seen as objectionable by their parents. Honestly, I wish the show would just concentrate on them , plus the kids, from now on and remove all the annoying awful parents.
I am getting trumatised every week by either the kids crying or DD crying and some sort of crazy screeching parent going nuts. Wasn't this show about DD and the Chairman and how they overcome their age barrier? Give us this story and less of parents behaving like crazy.
Her father is the worse really. I thought her stepmum was bad but he is no better.
Poor Dan Dan. A selfish, self-centered mother who can't understand why Dan Dan wants to stay behind for the kids since she could just leave hers, to a father who beat up her mother, twice but lets his wife get away with ripping off his sister and pushes him to take up a job in another country at his age for money that her family ripped off him, to a greedy stepmother who is foolish and only cares for her real child and her own family.
I hope she gets away from her toxic family and lives happily ever after with YG and the 3 kids - all of whom appreciates her and is thankful for her, and loves her for her sweet, generous, loving soul - her real family doesn't deserve her.
Yea, I'm pissed they're getting in the way of her getting with a man whose kids love her too, plus he's handsome, rich and nice.
pretty sure he has his phone - DD told him he has all the messages
She probably meant the phone he has as a 22 year old, he's unlikely to have dump it. Yea, that's a plot hole. He only needs to look at the messages his 22 year old sent to realise the truth
The Stepmother is really such an unlikeable person. Dan Dan comes home and instead of asking why, she just worries she's quit her job and expects her to work till before she leaves for the USA. Whereas her useless son can fail at one venture after another, and just runs off and leave the food truck when he feels like it.
She also injured her hand and states she's back for a rest and the Step mom doesn't even care about that and asks her to come to the restaurant to help. Don't know how the Writer can win an award for the Best Writer - almost all her depiction of mothers in this show are negative. They're shown as greedy, selfish, self-centered, liars or thieves, if not all.
I can't believe I made it to episode 30 - of which the double amnesia plot took up half so far. even 16 episodes shows nowadays feel too long at times. First half got many of us non-long drama watchers excited and addicted, but the double amnesia plot means many of us are losing intertest now.
If they had continued with the fast paced development of the plot like they did in the first half, we would have been heavily invested in the YG-DD relationship and see the obstacles they face and overcome with their huge age difference. Instead, all we got was YG behaving stupidly whether as a 40+ or 22 year old, and SR and her mother still getting away with their criminal activities with no disco
No wonder everybody's cursing the writer. The too long amnesia plot was frustrating enough, but now, a double amnesia plot? That's just stupid. It's already dragged on for way too long, and now they're dragging it for another few weeks?
Also, are the leads Young Guk and Se Ra or Young Guk and Dan Dan? Cos we've seen more of the former as a couple than the latter. We didn't sign on to see so much screen time of Young Guk and Se Ra and her thieving Thumbs Up mother and Greedy Stepmom. We wanna see how Young Guk and Dan Dan develop as a couple and overcome their age gap.
I saw that the notice board of the broadcaster are also cursing out the writer for such a stupid plot device. The only saving grace are the kids at this point, to be honest.
It's so frustrating especially as the first half of the show moved so fast and now it's dragged down by an overly long ridiculous amnesia plot.
What if....the last minutes of them being happy was just a dream and he really died? Cos duh, he got shot so many times! That to me, was a more realistic ending. The happy ever after ending looked like a dreamscape TBH
The acting was good all round, especially from our main couple. It was let down by the somewhat weak writing and pacing. See, what gets us invested in the series is seeing the bad guys get it ultimately. But a lot of the good ones went first. And the last episode didn't have enough time to show the villains getting their just punishments. They had so many episodes but filled it with repetitive scenes.
Also unexplainable was the couple's behaviour. They were too good to be true despite their friend betraying them, the Doctor and the cleaning couple showing repeatedly they can't be trusted etc. Actually, you can blame them indirectly for Penthouse Boy's death by telling the residents he had lots of supplies and letting them come up so often. Also, they didn't even wonder where the older cleaning lady was ? And the old couple? It's like they just disappeared last few episodes.
I mean, as a detective and an anti-terrorist agent, they would have been harden veterans and a lot smarter and savvier. Instead. they got caught out time and time again. The Main couple are really great together, and excellent acting and great chemistry. Our MIn Min is proving he's among the top Idol actor and in fact, has moved towards top actor now.
I loved the ending statement she made when she was asked if she resented her. She just stated that she loved the time they had spent under the tree. It was such a poignant moment, sad, but it wasn't awful. Indeed, our little whale has now grown up.
