My Theory (right now at least) -

Park Ki Young won't be the killer, his target is Cha Young Woon and his family he wants there destruction.. He knows CYW family is involved in the murder and is setting Oh Jin Seong up to find the truth. I wouldn't be surprised if Park Ki Young sent the video clip to Oh Jin Seong.

Thank you - She may have told him during this scene, but the fact that its Jin Hee narrating the scene makes me question this. It could equally be that's when he tells her that he's transferring schools.
I would also look at ep 5 when they meet as grown ups for a drink. Eun Mi asks baby daddy "Have you not heard anything about me" He seems completely unaware that she might have had his child. During the whole conversation there's no reference to her pregnancy.

Your right he did say "Everyone Lies" which is evasive at the very least, but seems to imply he lies as well.

I think they are both guilty of lying by omission so far, perhaps because of their own histories, so I won't rush to judgment just yet. The next few episodes should hopefully reveal more. I guess back to the original statement - "Then you must meet someone who's really good at lying" hmmm.... intriguing statement

I can't find the scene where she told him she was pregnant. TBH I thought the whole "hiccup" scene was the first he knew about having a daughter, and which point she's almost 30.

At what point does - " she obviously loves her daughter" start to become a justification or an excuse?

She did....I was choosing/hoping to ignore that scene!

This is based on the assumption that it has to be one of them. It actually is more likely to be both. They are each others Lovely Liar. They both have secrets/they are not completely honest with each other. Sometimes the line between lying and being truthful is simply down to the answer provided to a given question.

I guess why i assumed it was less likely to be the FL is for reasons -
Her job (depending on your point of view) is not about lies, its about revealing the truth.
Additionally, the FL asked the ML - "Do you always tell the truth?" Which he said he did. Again that's not an entirely honest response.

BTW I agree this is so much fun!

I hate even a hint of any kind of love triangle trope, it has been beaten to death. I said yesterday, that I would take the parental issue's trope, as this was the lesser of two evils for me. Imagine my horror 😱😱😱 when we now have the "fake relationship" trope too.....Yeah!....Noooo stop it! Come on, this story is better than that! Plus, why do this to me?? 😠😠😠

All I need now is the evil mother/step mother to appear along with the cute best friend who's secretly in love with one of our leads and I will have a full house!

Focus on our leads, the whole she hears people lies and his mysterious past, that's all I need, that's not asking for too much right?

I've always seen this as the ML is the one lying, or is the Lovely Liar, that's not say i think he did kill anyone but it doesn't mean he's honest either. Lying by omission is still a lie.
There are a number of possible scenarios. Given this is supposed to be romantic comedy I say option 1 is more likely. If this was a darker drama then some kind guilt towards knowing who committed the crime perhaps?

I don't know if this was a hint at something but -

Do Ha said - "Then you must meet someone who's really good at lying"

I found it odd he would say this when most people would say

"Then you must meet someone who always tell the truth"

Jae Won must have a part time job other than appearing in this drama right? Maybe he's Batman? He only seems to appear when someone's in trouble. Plus he seems pretty good at keeping a secret. too.
Anyway, I finally thought this would be his and Jin Hee episode. Nope! After 8 episodes I know nothing more about him than I did after episode 1. This would be fine in a 40 episode drama, but we have 4 episodes left. I'm tired of Eun Mi and Jin Hong, they are exhausting, just give me some Jin Hee and Jae Won and I will be happy... Please!

What you've said makes sense from her side., kind of remembering her first love. That's where she might be a tiny bit conflicted. The triangle starts not because of her though, but because of the ex-boyfriend. He wants her back, and that's where i see the stupid and unnecessary triangle trope

I think you've kind of described one of your typical love triangles, ex-boyfriend reappears causing misunderstands between our leads? She also appears a little conflicted so whilst she won't go back, it gives the impression that the ex is a third wheel. Its got your triangle trope all over it. Personally its unnecessary, but the premise is there.

I've not been overwhelmed or underwhelmed by the start to this drama, I'm just kind of whelmed😕😕 I guess...... the next episode seems key, do I get really excited about this or do I have that weird sensation in my stomach that tells me this was a giant misstep....

Apologies, I feel like I've commented a lot on this drama today, but take it as a sign of my frustration. I think I've discovered where my problem with this drama started. It is the synopsis/description right here on MDL. Here are 4 points I would challenge.

1 Determined to keep her baby, Eun Mi did just that. Raising her daughter, - WRONG - it has been reference more once that her best friend Mi Jung was more the parent than Eun Mi. Raising seems a stretch.

2 The two have quite literally grown up together. - WRONG - technically if they mean they have aged together then yes. As Eun Mi has never grown up this is a stretch.

3 As if struggling to find a way to deal with her daughter wasn’t enough - WRONG - to struggle would imply that she realises there is a problem. The only time she did, was during the "goldfish poop" episode and even then she didn't realise what the problem was.

4 While Eun Mi tries to make sense of the mysterious Dr. Park - WRONG - the guy follows her around like a lost puppy. Mysterious - How???

Reading the synopsis on MDL gives the sense that Eun Mi is a heroine in this drama and if the synopsis matched with what I've seen so far, then Eun Mi would be a character to be admired. The problem is that Eun Mi described and the one on screen are very different.

Exactly! They should have said to Sung Hoon " just grab a seat, we will call you when we need you"

I admire the attempt but a couple of issues that I would have -

She never told baby daddy she was pregnant, so he never rejected taking responsibility. His parents transferred him to a"other school. I don't recall; her attempting to ever tell him either.
"technically grew up together" this is a stretch, she has never grown up as demonstrated by her actions. I think the best friend idea is correct, but given that Jin Hee is the more mature, responsible person in their relationship its hard to say they grew up together.

I'm going to ask for just two things in the remaining episodes -

1 Eun Mi, just show some honest to goodness personal growth, I don't even need you to become a fully fledge adult. just make some steps towards being one!

2 Park Sung Hoon, could he please get some real screentime/storyline? That he is actually down as a "Main Role" for this drama seems ridiculous. He seems to have been wasted so far.

Very True! I just can't stand a love triangle storyline 😒so I'll take the parental one as the lesser of two evils!! When you have an intriging concept like this drama has do we really need extra "staples" on top.......argh stupid tropes!😠😠

I've pretty much given up on Eun Mi, even when she acts something like a grown up, she quickly reverts to the 18 year old version of herself. Her best friend gets it, she clearly doesn't.
Jin Hee, I had some doubts about you early on but, you are simply too understanding, too accepting of your mother.
Plus a drunk Jin Hee is pretty funny too!
