If you want to watch a fluffy, happy, nice little romance, this is NOT the lakorn you should watch. If you want a nice ML, that altough he feels the need for revenge, is somehow likeable, this is NOT for you. If you do not want to see abuse, physical and mental, stay away from this. If you do not want to see a ML, that sleeps with practically every female, watch some other lakorn. If you want a happy ending, this is not the right lakorn for you. Watch some videos on YT and be sure, that it is even worse, than in those short clips. 3/10 for me.
Thai watch challenge...original 1998 and remake.....On episode 4 right now and it already annoys me so much.Maybe…
God no, just no. The "humor" is so over the top...no. 99% of the acting is overacting. The 1998 version is not good, but this one is much worse. Dropped.
Thai watch challenge...original 1998 and remake..... On episode 4 right now and it already annoys me so much. Maybe this kind of comedy is just not my kind.....the ML is a real playboy....I can not even count how many times he has cheated on the woman he claims to love already - 4 episodes in! If this does not get better I have to drop it.
This lakorn is one major trigger from start to finish. There is physical abuse: slapping, shoving, tying up, restraining, attempted murder (yes, it is attempted murder if you throw someone out of a boat in the middle of the ocean and that person struggles to stay above water and finally goes under...), kidnapping and so on and so on. All done by the ML towards the FL. Then we have the rape. Not once, not twice, not.....but continuously. Not only that, but we have a ML that is very proud of the fact, that he was the FLs first man, while the FL cries desperately and is in pain. On top of that we have the mental abuse: degradation, insults, blackmail.....you name it, this lakorn has it. After the FL manages to flee from the ML - yes, she literally flees(!) her "friends" and "family" try everything to get them back together because the ML has changed oh soooo sooooo much....biggest eyeroll in history! Let me tell you, how he changed: he does not rape her anymore (how nice!), he does not beat her up anymore (oh wow!), he does no longer call her names and degrade her (well, isn´t that really gorgeous of him?) and he cooks her food, washes her clothes and lives outside of her house..... I really can NOT understand how others can see this HUGE redemtion here. Maybe within time, maybe within years....but one does not change from THAT to a nice family man in the span of two months. Nope. Actually I have a love hate relationship with this lakorn, as it was the first one that I watched. My very first lakorn. Normally I would rate this 1/10 but as it has this special place on my hate list, it is a 5/10 for me.
The most important thing in a romance: on screen chemistry. Both leads really nailed it! Is it the best lakorn…
Many people did not like, that the transgender was an evil character......was she really evil? No, she was not! She has been abused since childhood, fell in love for the first time and did try everything to get her man. If you are used to lakorns, you know, that the SFL is usually a psycho and would even commit murder to get the ML. We are used to this by now. Are those SFLs really evil or mentally ill when they do it out of "love" aka obsession? So, I liked, that the writer made the SFL a transgender and showed, that NOT accepting your child as it is, can do great harm to the psyche. So the transgender plot would have been really great, if they had done the "transformation" right! But to first show Mek, a sturdy male with broad shoulders and then make us believe, that he "transformed" into May, a very slender female, with very long arms and legs....this would have required tons and tons and tons of surgeries that would have left tons and tons and tons of scars all over her body but there are none! I personally would have preferred to see a transgender in that role or a woman, that had a more similar body build to Mek, because the way they made it was really unbelievable. But all that left aside, I really liked the plot twist!
The most important thing in a romance: on screen chemistry. Both leads really nailed it! Is it the best lakorn I have ever seen? No. Is it the worst? No! The story was ok, the acting was good, the evil people got what they deserved in the end and that is a big fat plus because normally they just kneel, say sorry and everything is ok, no jail, no punishment no nothing. I liked that a lot! Ans as I already mentioned, the leads hat great chemistry! There have been a lot of comments about the plot twist....my thoughts about it are in the spoiler below.
Euro looks weird with that wig & facial hair. Main FL is already annoying me, Taen looks cute as always :)
Oh, just wanted to start this, but then I read your comment.....most of the time, I agree with you, when you write comments, so is it worth the watch? Thank you!
