The issue with MM is that the TCM tried to buy her and her parents some space. Her parents were never willing though to make any personal changes themselves to help their child. MM is only an extension of their aspirational and high achieving lifestyle. So she returns to the family home but nothing has changed in the family dynamics.

RTZ does experience some sadness over the closeness and complicity TT and RXZ have. He doesn’t resent TT though. I can’t help feeling that RXZ never saw his son and MM in the same light as everyone else. They are all still convinced he likes MM romantically. His father had more faith in his son on that matter at least.
I think RTZ is threatening his mother with moving out with MM because it’s all part of his power struggle with his mother. It’s a play. He is serious with challenging his mother but not with moving out with MM. He is convinced his mother will do something to stop this. But maybe not this time? His mother seems to be quite determined this time. Up to now it’s been mostly conflicts with his father but as he grows into a man, he is now stretching the boundaries with his mother. She has so far been his enabler. I feel that more than just a professional threat, his mother also sees MM as a threat to his own personal prospects. She is deeply concerned over this attachment. If things go badly, it could harm his reputation. I’m quite sure he doesn’t love MM. But it will be a lesson to him on how to maintain boundaries in the future with patients.
Watching this episode at the end of the day is such a treat. Just love the chemistry and storyline. But Uri dear, take off those rose tinted glasses please.
6 episodes in and I am enjoying this drama. Zhao Lusi makes the role of Tou Tou so likeable. Even when she’s reluctant and outspoken in her ignorance, I still root for her. Her spark is indomitable and I appreciate that the teachers are using a softer approach to bring her to her potential. We can only surmise she has met with many setbacks in her upbringing. The other characters also bring something to the story. It often quite subtle but their own plights are interesting. The teachers as husband and wife have an interesting dynamic and I wonder what tensions we will get well into the series. Theirs is more of a partnership, albeit a very respectful relationship. Their son is one angry young man. I find it hard to warm to him. The family dynamics are so well played out and quite realistic too. Definitely enjoyable, with a gentle calmness. There are some valuable lessons to learn for sure.
Lovely first two episodes. More of an ensemble rather than just concentrating on her character. But it has a gentle charm. I look forward to her development as a person and as a practitioner. Zhao Lusi never fails.
Powered through 4 episodes. Just blown away by the performances in episode 38 especially. Everybody brought their A game. I am also resigned to the inevitability of what comes next. It was the only choice. This 3rd generation devil lord is quite something, lulling us with those pretty eyes and zen quality while we descend into the funk that will arrive when it’s all over.
I thought that YXW’s actions eliminated the Devil Bones from TTJ. If that’s the case why is the Devil God…
I read on Twitter that YBC could hear that voice too in the dream sequence. So maybe the devil is always there feeding on people’s misery and thoughts. I assume he can no longer use TTJ’s body However as he meant to when the time was right.
Call it love hit a peak for Disney+ I wonder if they even knew they had such a gem. For once I was glad it was broadcast in my region and I got to watch it week by week. The list above has some good options. Look forward to it.
