Like I said, you couldn't have watched that many episodes of Court Lady or Sky Empire if all you got out of it was "goof ball." Those characters were so much more than that.

I'm being generous by conceding Lingjian, very generous.

The beating might been more for effect than to cause significant damage.

Those actors are fine and eventually I'll check out atc but I'd rather enjoy Spring of the Blade. Then I'll rewatch it to catch anything I missed the first time. Then a third watch just to look at Xu Kai. Having to read the subs means I can only get glimpses of him. It's so frustrating.

Then ... I'll watch something else, even if it sounds like your more typical revenge-women's rights show.

Xu Kai and Zhou Ye are a great pairing, as were Xu Kai and Tian Xiwei, Xu Kai and Bai Lu, and Xu Kai and Jing Tian. And, yes, Xu Kai and Zhou Dong Yu.
