Besides Xu Kai, what's Yu Zheng's connection to this drama?

She met him when he was an adult and she was a child. She saw him as an uncle or older brother and it sounds like he treated her as a child until recently. She now sees him as a friend, a buddy. As we later learn, she was wrong about him in many ways, not just romantically.

The way she sees him when he looks at her and how we see him look at her are very different.

There have got to be other agencies that will show Xu Kai more care than he's received from Huanyu.

Interestingly, no Xu Kai projects are feaured on the Huanyu main page, but currently he's at the top of the list on the Stars page.

What amazes me is that MDL actually created a page for this drama, which is nothing but speculation. Meanwhile, you have to submit hard proof (and your first unborn son) as to who the cast is for a project that's been completed before they can be listed. BTW, I'm talking about Strange Tales of Tiandu here.

I'm okay with the lack of martial arts, but I'd love to see Xu Kai play a character that "appears quite carefree and is often seen drinking wine in the company of female entertainers." That would be a first, and very different to other characters he's portrayed.

He's never told her. Why would she assume he feels more for her if he doesn't say anything? She wasn't looking for signals and it didn't seem as though he gave her any. It was on him to share his feelings when it was age-appropriate, maybe a few years earlier.

I've watched more than a few episodes of Tang Dynasty. I don't think there will be such a dramatic split in abilities with the Tiandu characters compared to the Tang characters.

Shi Wuming and Su Xuelou will have conflicts and their own agendas but will support each other when it counts.

With Strange Tales of Tiandu wrapped, I'll be checking daily for any news as to when this drama will drop. 🤞soon, soon, soon, soon🤞

By dropping Xu Kai's dramas, you miss the character development that allows him to fully express his characters' emotions.

If you watched/started Best Choice Ever, how many episodes did you see?

He's become part of the world which includes complicated and heightened emotions. He does give off a dangerous vibe, but in a super hero kind of way.

As is too often the case, Xu Kai does not get enough screentime.
