I'm an international fan as well. My first exposure to Xu Kai was Once Upon a Time in Lingjian Mountain. Pretty much romance-free with some light BL. I was drawn to the actor, not to his love scenes.

He was brilliant in Arsenal Military Academy which featured a whole different depiction of romance.

So, we international fans are not all alike. I'm looking forward to his performance in Fire Investigator, because it's a role really wants to play. And I want to see him grow as an actor.

I can revisit his past dramas any time I need a hit of Xu Kai romance.
