I don't understand Chairman Shin's plan. Why does she want to make Hana as Yujin to protect Eunchong? Why not just adopt her as a stepdaughter, instead of disguising her as Yujin?
Watching up to episode 30. I feel sorry for Tae Ri and Ji Hyun. The two children are victims of their parents' problems. It's so heartwarming to see how Ji Hyun takes care of Seon Ju when she's sick, preparing instant ramyeon for her. My heart is also with Tae Ri who had to face his (foster) parents' break-up and even ask his dad if he was at fault and the reason why his parents broke up. So heartbreaking.
why is there a drop in the ratings?? can someone tell me without giving spoilers?
Many are disappointed with how the drama is concluded. Even without the propaganda controversy, the last episode 12 is already weak, compared to the almost perfect first 11 episodes. This is actually quite common for Korean dramas.
Putting aside the propaganda, I still think the last episode is very weak.
It was just an almost perfect drama for the whole 11 first episodes, and the last episode brought it down. It wasn't really clear what happened at the end of episode 11 (whether the ML was really being shot) and at the beginning of episode 12 suddenly there's a 6 month time skip when the ML "disappeared" from the FL's life, and that the kidnapper was shot dead by the police.
Then there was the case when the FL risked her life to visit a war-torn country (is it easy to get a visa to a war-torn country such as Afgha.. I meant Argan?) and then went to the rebel-controlled area of the country to find the ML. She was eventually arrested by the rebel and "coincidentally" saved by the ML. They were almost caught by the rebels at their hiding spot, but eventually rekindled their love as if there were no war around the area and it was more like a holiday destination. Really? :)
The Paltima and Izmael issue was just the icing of a spoiled cake but even without that, the whole episode 12 is already weak.
I am sorry but I am on the verge of dropping the drama.
Any sensible woman would ask for a divorce once she finds out that her husband is cheating with another woman. In this case, it's confirmed that her husband is trash and didn't intend to return to her.
And the FL is still trying to save the marriage for the sake of her mom (really?) and her daughter?
I agree that children are always the main victims of divorce cases (remember "Good Partner"? I mentioned this as well in the comments of that drama). But with the situation is already up to this level -- the husband doesn't want to do anything with her and has committed to be with her affair partner -- having a daughter doesn't matter anymore.
If I were Seonju, I would explain to Jihyun nicely that there's no way they can save the marriage and divorce is the only option, let her understand. Not by trying to set up a nice dinner with the husband and the daughter, trying to win the husband back. That's trash.
Seyoung & her mom must be the worst trashy characters I have ever watched
They are being competed by: - Jeong-In and Ju-Ryun in Scandal (Snow White's Revenge) - Sang-ah and her mom in Desperate Mrs Seonju - Sanha's mom in Family by Choice - Pil Seung's grandma in Beauty and Mr Romantic
I just got to watch today’s episode…Does anyone know if, in S Korea, you can’t quit a job unless your employer…
May be there's a clause in her contract not to resign until certain period of time, in lieu of the trainings the company has provided her. And that she was asking for approval to break the clause, not too sure.
Love, love, love this drama very much. Episode 28 is the best!
I'm glad that Gangju and Darim have opened up in expressing their feelings for each other. I am also surprised at the fast turns of events (very rare for weekly long dramas which are usually dragging) -- that Charim knows about the money (and that she knows that Darim and Gangju knew), and that she's willing to help them. Love how she stood up against Taewoong and eventually resigned. I also love how they caught their aunt for stealing the money (and now the money is gone, duh!).
Based on the preview of the next episode, it seems that Gangju's mom found out and Gangju protected the family by saying that he stole the money? I don't know, anyway I can't wait to see the next episodes next week!
Damn, the last 10 minutes of episode 10 brought me to tears: the sacrifice, the press conference, the epilogue, the music/OST. How can a drama be this good?
The acting skills of almost everyone are also top-notch, including the main leads and the supporting actors.
Finally, Hana can stand up against Se Yeong's bullying! I'm also happy that Hana and Jin Goo are getting closer. The chairwoman also seems to like her.
It is quite sad to see Jin Goo's mom being accused by the police of child abuse, I hope it won't affect her relationship with Eun Chong and the Goo family. I am so happy to see Jin Goo's mom getting closer to Eun Chong.
And yeah, finally the chairwoman knows that Yu Jin has passed away and that she left a son. Looking forward to the next episodes!

Such a waste and disappointment.

He was also nominated in the 2024 APAN Star awards but he lost to the ML actor of Beauty and Mr Romantic, I was like... what the...????
I am happy that Hong I-na turns out to be a good elder sister for Hee-joo.
Of course, we know she'll survive. :D

27 Dec's airing was not cancelled and it was episode 57 (the one ended with Gong Hee shouting out Dansu's name and suddenly he appeared).
