In my earlier comment 11 days ago, I was on the verge of dropping this drama. I'm glad that I decided to continue watching. This drama is getting better!
I'm still not too sure where the plot will be heading. FL is pregnant with 2ML's baby. ML loves FL, but he doesn't know if she's pregnant with 2ML's baby. I wonder what will happen when he finds out.
Of course, ML and FL should have a happy ending in every daily drama. So at the end, it's either: - ML and FL live happily ever after raising 2ML's baby; or - FL aborts the baby or has a miscarriage.
I am at episode 31 now. Finally, Gang Ju gets the long-awaited respect from the Iron Family, especially from Bong Hee (the mom) and the grandparents. The family has treated him like trash without realising that the money they stole was actually his mom's.
Anyone who criticises Gangju for not siding with her mom, even labelling him as a traitor, please think again. I agree with one commenter here saying that the "terror" received by Gang Ju's mom is being blown out of proportion (it's just an inheritance tax evasion), and it's not really Gang Ju's fault. The mom had already prepared when she decided to report it to the police after 1 January 2025, and the result will be the same on whether Gangju returns the money to her mom or buries it back in the mountain.
And I really hate Murim's mother-in-law. I agree with some commenters here that she thinks her family is superior and even asks Suji (her daughter) to break off the wedding with Murim. That's after the wedding had taken place, albeit not yet registered. WTH?
That was a heartbreaking scene. Credit to the actors for that!Horrible to think that’s probably happened irl…
The little actress playing Ji-hyun was the same actress playing the younger version of Sanha's little step sister in Family by Choice. Love her acting.
Seeing Ji-Hyun comforting her mom for breaking up with her dad is very heartbreaking. At her young age, she had to witness how trashy her dad is and how bad he has treated her mom -- comforting her mom by saying that she wasn't sad to see them breaking up. I cried watching the scene.
I really don't like the FL's mom character but I have to admit that the veteran actress' acting when she found out that her daughter is pregnant is exceptional.
After watching today’s episode, based on the drama poster and the plot so far, Yeojin would be using Hana as…
You have a point there but it seems that Hana and Yujin/Duna are of the same age. The chance of them being biologically siblings is quite slim, unless if they are twins and separated at birth?
I don't understand Chairman Shin's plan. Why does she want to make Hana as Yujin to protect Eunchong? Why not just adopt her as a stepdaughter, instead of disguising her as Yujin?
Watching up to episode 30. I feel sorry for Tae Ri and Ji Hyun. The two children are victims of their parents' problems. It's so heartwarming to see how Ji Hyun takes care of Seon Ju when she's sick, preparing instant ramyeon for her. My heart is also with Tae Ri who had to face his (foster) parents' break-up and even ask his dad if he was at fault and the reason why his parents broke up. So heartbreaking.
why is there a drop in the ratings?? can someone tell me without giving spoilers?
Many are disappointed with how the drama is concluded. Even without the propaganda controversy, the last episode 12 is already weak, compared to the almost perfect first 11 episodes. This is actually quite common for Korean dramas.
Putting aside the propaganda, I still think the last episode is very weak.
It was just an almost perfect drama for the whole 11 first episodes, and the last episode brought it down. It wasn't really clear what happened at the end of episode 11 (whether the ML was really being shot) and at the beginning of episode 12 suddenly there's a 6 month time skip when the ML "disappeared" from the FL's life, and that the kidnapper was shot dead by the police.
Then there was the case when the FL risked her life to visit a war-torn country (is it easy to get a visa to a war-torn country such as Afgha.. I meant Argan?) and then went to the rebel-controlled area of the country to find the ML. She was eventually arrested by the rebel and "coincidentally" saved by the ML. They were almost caught by the rebels at their hiding spot, but eventually rekindled their love as if there were no war around the area and it was more like a holiday destination. Really? :)
The Paltima and Izmael issue was just the icing of a spoiled cake but even without that, the whole episode 12 is already weak.
I am sorry but I am on the verge of dropping the drama.
Any sensible woman would ask for a divorce once she finds out that her husband is cheating with another woman. In this case, it's confirmed that her husband is trash and didn't intend to return to her.
And the FL is still trying to save the marriage for the sake of her mom (really?) and her daughter?
I agree that children are always the main victims of divorce cases (remember "Good Partner"? I mentioned this as well in the comments of that drama). But with the situation is already up to this level -- the husband doesn't want to do anything with her and has committed to be with her affair partner -- having a daughter doesn't matter anymore.
If I were Seonju, I would explain to Jihyun nicely that there's no way they can save the marriage and divorce is the only option, let her understand. Not by trying to set up a nice dinner with the husband and the daughter, trying to win the husband back. That's trash.

Wondering what will happen.

Such a waste and disappointment.
