- Is the pigeon Eun-ho's reincarnation? - The actor who plays Gi Chan (Park Yoon Jae) really gave his all on episode 99. Good acting performance! - The pace is too rushed in the last 2 episodes. Everything was packed so that they could finish by episode 100. - Poor Jiho. - Looking forward to the final episode tomorrow.
Does anyone know who the little actress portraying young Nu Ri (Hae's little half sister) is? She's not in the cast list. She looks very young (around 5-6 yo), but her acting is quite good.
I felt episode 1 was a bit boring, but episode 2 was great. I love their first love story during high school, and the young Hae's unconditional love towards his little half-sister, who was abandoned by their father.
I like the past timeline better than the present timeline.
The end of episode 8 hit me like a high-speed train, lol. Not as good as the original's episode 11 ending, but I still cried to see Rin and Masamune separated by the police, and for Rin to finally call him "Papa".
Episode 4 wrecked me. I always have a soft spot for children in my heart, and the way the evil dad treated his daughter boiled my blood. I am glad that the evil dad gets what he deserves, it's sooo satisfying!
I love this drama so far. I am already a fan of the FL since "Family by Choice", and her acting performance is much stronger here. I also agree with many of us here that she has good chemistry with the ML, despite the age difference. I am neutral on whether they will go along the romantic line or not -- but I'm looking forward to watch the next episodes!
I love The Kidnapping Day (TKD), so I'm watching this right now—just completed episode 1. The pace is good,…
I ended up binge-watching the remaining available episodes (2-5). This drama is so good, almost as good as the original. Pace is faster but it makes the drama enjoyable to watch, no dragging.
Can't wait for episode 6 to be released next week!
I love The Kidnapping Day (TKD), so I'm watching this right now—just completed episode 1.
The pace is good, it's faster than the original -- the little girl knew that he was not her father at the end of episode 1, compared to the end of episode 2 (or 3? I can't remember) of TKD.
The girl's age is younger here than in TKD, so while the little actress did a very good job, she's not comparable to Yuna in TKD, who was the heart and soul of the drama. I just wish they had cast an older girl.
I would have to agree with many opinions here that the drama started very well in the first half, but then it went down the drain in the second half. I didn't understand what was going on in the past two episodes.
The evil deity was portrayed as very scary in the first half (reminded me of the eight-foot-tall ghost in Haunted Palace, but then in the second half, he's just a ghost kid Bong-su-yaaaaaa, a cute name given by Seong-ah.
Yeomhwa was portrayed as evil in the first half, trying to serve the evil deity, but eventually she was described as part of the shaman family.
Poor Ji-ho, he's the greenest flag in the drama, his love for Seong-ah never fades, yet he still befriends her and her crush, still there for her and knows when to step back when he sees Seong-ah and Gyeon-U are inseparable.
I am at the 11th episode, and I am very confused. After her mom died, what did Seong-ah do? What happened to her and Bong-su after the first kiss? Why does the story then skip to last year at school, and then graduation, without Seong-ah?
Where was she all that time? Spoilers are welcome.
Finally, IU won the best actress award she deserves. Congratulations also to Hye-ran for winning the Best Supporting Actress award, and congratulations to the whole team for winning the Daesang.
Damn, I cried seeing the scene at the funeral hall, when Ja Yeong cried and apologised to Do Yun for killing her sister, and asked him to bring Jae In back.
This daily drama is indeed on another level: the fast-paced story, the acting, the plot twists.
