Putting the bad AI-generated subtitles aside, this is a great thriller and suspense drama. It's much better than Park Ju-hyun's previous work, "Perfect Family", and we can see that her acting here is much improved.
Kang Hoon also shines in this drama, and his chemistry with Juhyun in this drama is amazing, despite there being no romance involved. From their eyes' expressions, how they talk to each other, the chemistry is spectacular.
The best acting would come from Park Yong Woo. His interpretation of a serial killer AND a father who "loves" his daughter -- up to the point that he wants her to be with him and to be like him -- is stunning, amazing and scary.
The child actresses -- Shin Yeon-woo as Eun-seo, Shim Ji-yu as little Se-hyun (past Se-eun) and Kim Kyu-na as present Se-eun -- are also amazing.
Plot moves very fast, yes, it was a bit repetitive in the earlier episodes, with Se-hyun kept on making mistakes and always being overpowered by her father, but it gets better, especially in the last 4 episodes.
The ending is satisfying and is crafted nicely to avoid an "abrupt" ending, which usually happens in most KDramas.
There's questions that didn't answer after finishing this dramaWhy did his ex wife leaves eunho? Is byeol even…
byeol is his real daughter. from what i understand, byeol's mom had some kind of baby blues depression, which is so severe leading to her despising and hating her own daughter. this usually happens to young mothers and if its left untreated, it may be dangerous to the child due to the risk of abuse etc.
so the father decided to raise the daughter alone to ensure the safety of the child.
So is her sister from the past definitely dead? I know in episode 14 it shows her hitting her head but with these…
I believe she was dead. She's nowhere in the present timeline. But of course I hope I was wrong.
Now I am really hoping that the little girl in the present (Se-eun) doesn't have the same fate. I hope Se-hyun and the police will rescue her from her crazy dad.
Omo so much love this drama that father is a psycho!!!!! Can’t believe he break her fingers
He cut her fingers!
What can we expect from a psychopath. He killed his wife in front of his young daughter. He might have killed his eldest daughter as well (nowhere to be seen in present timeline).
He told Se-hyun that he planned to get rid of the adopted daughter (Se-eun) if he could get Se-hyun back. I can't imagine what he would do to the poor little girl if that happens. So scary.
is this good? I don't wanna judge on the basis of rating....
Many have love and hate relationship with this drama.
For me, I despise this drama, the gory scene is giving me nausea, the plot and storyline really caused us stress, but that's why i love this drama very very much!
I almost dropped this halfway and now I can't wait for Sunday/Monday to come (when ep13 will be aired).
I don’t need romance in my dramas at all, but this would’ve been interesting with romance as a subplot. We…
There's possibility that both leads will go to that romantic trope you mentioned. By the end of episode 12, we can see that they really care about each other.
can someone give me an honest review of this drama? I'm hesitating to start it.I usually prefer romantic dramas…
They have good chemistry indeed, but not romantically. Their chemistry is more about trust, friendship, care. As of the end of episode 12, there's no romance (yet, we don't know if they will go that route), but they are really care about each other.

Despite the police and public already accused that Se-hyun is the culprit, Jung-hyun still believed that she's innocent and that she's hiding something much bigger and more dangerous.
And when Jung-hyun was being stabbed by Se-hyun's dad, she really panicked, cried, showing that she really cares about him.
No romance (yet), but already GREAT CHEMISTRY between them. Kudos to both actors -- Ju-hyun and Kang Hoon.

Highly recommended.

But now, I feel sad and pity her, since she seems to be abused by her father. I hope she doesn't end up being killed by her father as well.
