For me, I like it. It’s for the first time since Hidden Love that I got those goosebumps from way before, when I was young. And for everyone who says that some of the acting is exaggerated: one might have forgotten the physical pain to the core when your first love something something 😄 (whatever happened to him or her). Yes, you do cry like it’s the end of the world. And believe - at that moment - that nothing, but absolutely nothing will heal your poor soul and heart.
So, this was filmed before The blood of youth? LHY is a good actor, of course I liked him - like everyone else - in blood of youth but he stole my heart in Wulin Heroes (rewatched the latter like three times). I also thought the Youkou one would be first, but this one here is a nice intermezzo. So this is a film version of a novel? A popular one?
Finally a drama with armies that are worth the word. And that old genezer with his no less than seven sons! Very impressive sight to see them together in those uniforms. So far, I like it quite a lot, and at least it’s a fresh angle for a story. Let’s see how it develops!
