Chen Haosen. He is playing the role of Sang Yan's best friend Su Haoan.

Their relationship is wholesome especially because ML holds no resentment towards FL for hurting him even without knowing her past because the way his heart was broken, to not hold any kind of hatred or malice towards that person is a big thing.

He is 2nd ML but his love interest is FL's best friend(acc. to reuters) and he is the catalyst to the relationship of Main leads.

There is angst but I didn't felt it was too extreme, though the past of female is extremely pitiful and that is quite heartbreaking but the angst didn't felt too deep between the couple except for once when she broke his heart in the past(she had her own reasons) and after getting together, FL was really good at handling crises and ML was understanding so it didn't caused them a lot of pain in present.

The first frost actually matches hidden love timeline parallelly. By the time Duan Jianxu and Sang Zhi got together, Sang Yan was already dating Wen Yifan though his story started when Sang Zhi was around nine, even before hidden love's timeline in the first few episodes.

Insomnia is not that major, it was briefly mentioned in one of her past, sleepwalking is major plot of the novel.

In the starting, the novel is a bit slow but it keeps throwing hints that FL had gone through something major because she has insomnia and then sleepwalking but by the end her past is completely revealed and it is quite heart shattering. She is only avoidant towards the ML because of inferiority complex.

If they follow novel, then their is no major third angle because Wen Yifan in the novel never noticed anyone except Sang Yan

She lied to him to push him away, though their is no man except him in her life
