No. It was actually a few days later that she sleepwalked. But even when she put few things in front of door, her subconscious is aware about those things so she places them back away before sleepwalking. in the novel, she used to put chair but in her sleep, she used to drag it away and move outside. Right now, she is not pretending.

Actually the drama had changed many scenes. He was not aware about anything(even how she was treated by her aunt). He just give it all because he could feel she liked him too.

Yeah. I was rewatching the first episode and literally had to skip the breakup scene. It is like his soul was snatched away from him especially when he had always been so open about his feelings for her. As much as I understand Wen Yifan's situation, at that time my heart hurt more for him because of how kind and loving he was towards her.
Don't worry, she give her everything once they starts dating. She later regrets too that she didn't tell him the truth but at the same time, that hurt had made Sang Yan mature which is necessary for him to grow as a person.

In climax. He gets a hunch but she doesn't share her problems with him(as she just want to make him happy). He gets angry and at the same time had to visit his sister who resides in different city so she follows him and tells him all of her past. I liked how instead of pitying her, he told her how brave she is.

Actually he is not much aware of her situations like you are saying. He had been hurt by her once, and mind you, it was cruel for a person like him, so outgoing and kind. That was unexpected and a blow to his self esteem. Now, he had decided that he won't be the first one to pursue her like before but the love he has for her in his heart comes out as care and concern. She skips food, he noticed that is why he keeps cooking and feeding her. Giving her bigger room was because of attached bathroom and in the drama, I felt it was also because he saw her living conditions. But he just can't control himself and keeps dropping hints that she is hitting on him(even more in the future) but in reality, he is just waiting for her to take a single step in her direction, the remaining ones he will cover for them. And all the other things, he does it because he knows he still loves her.

And he thinks his feelings are not reciprocated too, that is another reason for not pursuing her strongly.

I feel he is pathetically in love with her(while in lovely runner, it was really one sided, here it is not. they were friends, aware of their feelings and even decided to date in college) and it gives her a lot of power over him, which she doesn't even realize. Given his character and bg, he is someone who will give his all to the person he will fall for(same was with Sang Zhi too but being a girl, she hid it really well) and Wen Yifan happens to be that person. It is love at first sight but it ran deeper and in high school, he was crazy for her such that even the whole school knew his feelings for her. Extremely passionate and such people will go to any lengths for their loved ones, especially in the world of dramas and honestly, after going through so much, Wen Yifan deserves to be loved with this passion.
Both the siblings are just god sent for these two broken souls.

In the novel, Wen Yifan was referred as white moonlight. Is it the same here because it translates to Romantic interest?

The main thing is he can afford it, she can't. He has enough money and resources. He stays at home because he had recently quit his job. And above all, he somewhere thinks it is his opportunity(he might not voice it out but his feelings are still there, raging in waves). He knows Wen Yifan is not doing to well and she actually have no one(in novel it was not elaborated but here it is). One more thing, he cooks for her not because he loves doing it but actually in Novel, Wen Yifan was extremely thin, often skipping food which he noticed and hence started cooking for her which helped her gain weight.

What I interpreted of Sang Yan(through novel) is that he has high IQ and EQ, belongs to a really good and rich family but he didn't had aspirations. FL was the driving force for him for college entrance exam because his sister mentioned that how he started studying like crazy soon after. Then she broke his heart and his confidence and pride crumbled, which made him cold but at the same time, he really grew his world out of Wen Yifan. He studied well in college, had amazing friends group and used to hang out a lot. He got hired by a top company too which he later left as he was planning to shift to another city. He opened a bar with his friends. His life has no problems except for the heartbreak but he does a lot of things. He takes care of bar, is going to get a job too, takes care of his sister too as both his parents are working, enjoys with his friends. This is what we all do because everyone doesn't have much problem like Yifan in life. In the later part, he gets really busy too(if they showed). You feel he is going gaga over her but it is more like he is aware of FL's situations(not the assaults one), still harbors feelings so he just wants to protect her without showing it. He have his life outside her too, just like her but he doesn't have problems in life like her.

Her nickname is Shuang jiang as she is born on the first descent of frost. Before officially naming her, her father started calling her shuang jiang which became a name for her within family. He got to know and from then he used to address her as Wen Shuang Jiang only.
