I believe it's a ritual or ceremony for a bountiful harvest. And yes, their outfits are very similar to their wedding's, same colors (black and red) and a similar motif.

Totally agree with this. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, but there’s no need to throw shade at others just because the average rating doesn’t match your personal view.

The maid is just delulu!! Wei Yan had her styled like Man Man (Wei Shao even noticed it in an earlier episode). She probably noticed the hairstyle in the painting and thought it looked like hers.

Ep 7: First off, I quite enjoyed Xiao Zhan’s performance as Zang Hai. The moment he emerges from the tomb, standing beneath the stone door, was emotionally powerful. He conveyed a complex depth of feeling that came across as raw and authentic. That said, I was hoping for a more quick-witted version of Zang Hai. We were shown that he spent quite some time examining the room, and with his knowledge background, I expected more from him, instead of using a trays as a shields, climbing on his friend’s shoulders to literally punch the ceiling. Like, come on, scriptwriter, let the man use his brain.

To me, it's just as enjoyable as dramas like Joy of Life, Nirvana in Fire, or Sword Snow Stride. The plots and focuses differ - some are more politically charged, but all are equally fun to watch.

They didn’t show how Zheng Shu did it, but somehow, the seed ended up cooked. Handing out cooked seeds would be a total waste - nothing’s gonna grow from them.
