So, I had a chance to listen to LYF's BGM. None of XL's tracks seemed suitable for the last meeting between XY-Tian'er (S2E06). The BGMs I considered were numbers 45, 47, 48, 49, and 60: 'Nine-Life Xiangliu', 'Fly with you', 'The order of the nine heads', 'Xiangliu Demon Fight', and 'Chen Rongshi (War Song)'. I believe TSJ's background music (BGM) was chosen for this particular scene because it matches the mood and tone of the scene. Sang Tian'er also talked about YSQ here, how he came back to visit and were there when Lao Mu died.

Idk why the drama use the same BGM for her scenes, Lol. But, again, Tian'er serves as a plot device for XY's character growth in the story. The use of the same BGM in these scenes does not imply that XY's relationships with Jing, Tian'er with Chuan Zi are similar, it doesn't make sense to me. BGM sets the mood for specific scenes and contributes to the emotional impact of the drama, but it does not serve as the storytelling device.

Yes, it's hard to believe that we're nearing the end of LYF. I have yet to watch the last 5 episodes, but thanks for sharing this journey together in this forum. Despite some regrets about Season 2, this is still one of my favorite dramas.

To me, and to many others: XY developed feelings for Jing early on, ever since she realized YSQ was a man and she/WXL herself was actually a woman.
As for the BGM, would a composer create a music theme for a side character like Sang Tian'er? Tian'er is a supporting character (to borrow a phrase some fans use: a plot device to move the story along). Just because they use the same BGM in those scenes doesn't imply that their stories are similar. XY learned many life lessons from Tian'er (XY's character growth benefited greatly from Tian'er, who served as a plot device in the story).

I think we can both agree that we appreciate complex characters with flaws. It makes their journeys and growth more compelling to follow.

That's why the former King of Xi Yan sent Feng Long's father to speak with Hong Jiang, XL's adopted father. On the other hand, can you use reason to tell someone on whom to fall in love with? -> Typically, you cannot.

Yes, I agree with what you wrote above, that it would have been more convincing if Hong Jiang hadn't been portrayed as wavering in his decision in the drama.

While both seasons were filmed together, S1 is definitely better. S2, however, feels somewhat disjointed due to numerous random changes (from the original novel) made by the screenwriter. Despite this, it remains a good drama.

I recall AH sharing an excerpt from chapter 46 about this 'cause'. Based on what XL said, it seemed he believed there was a chance (for Chenrong remnant army) if he succeeded in killing CX. However, if this was true, one can imagine that Da Huang would plunge into chaos, with clans engaging in wars. I'll quote here -> "Xiang Liu smiled a sardonic grin. 'If I kill Zhuan Xu, then it means the vast wilderness isn’t yet united. How can you say we’re going up against the inevitable?'"

To me, when XL calls Jing useless, it sounds more like something he'd say to a friend. Didn't he express a similar sentiment on XY, something along the lines of her being useless, and that he had taught her archery to defend herself.

Permits might be the issue. When the production submitted the entire work for review and it passed, they had already removed the parts that were cut, leaving nothing more to add. This is just a guess, I don't know anything about how it works.

I agree, Jing is her first love; under no circumstances would she not go to seek Jing when she knew that he was dying.
I have not read that part of the novel yet, I will continue reading it this weekend.

Yes, with his 9 heads doing the calculations, there could be many possible motives. One of them, as you said, just likes to do things with a bang, LOL
Another possibility is that he tried to push XY towards TSJ. We know that XY was furious when she found out XL actually had time to halt the wedding before it took place. XL later told XY that it was actually TSJ who hired him, shifting XY's anger to TSJ and prompting her to go look for TSJ.
There was a scene later in the drama where TSJ thanked XL for having XY come to Qing Qiu to look for him.
