Very interesting because I was just about to ask about this term idol drama that I don’t see being used except for Asian dramas. It will be interesting to see these two big stars branch out into other type of dramas (no idea what though as I don’t usually follow the career of famous Chinese actors)
I grew up watching chow yun Fatt and Stephen chow but i think they are completely different type of actors n in different genres.

Hoping industry will change and embrace the actors and actresses having some meat on their bones. It’s tough as they are all expected to be stick thin and it’s not a healthy perception for young impressionable teenagers who look to them as role models. Obviously not the actors and actresses’ fault at all. I mean J Lo is sexy at 50! She had boobs and bum!

Totally agree. They are both professional actors and the chemistry was conveyed successfully by their skilful acting, and the script and the director ‘s guidance etc. Haha
There are cases where reel becomes real but that’s the exception rather than the rule. Same as in the dramas my little happiness and the day becoming you in which the ML n FL had amazing on screen chemistry. Although it’s obviously nice to have a harmless gossip n ship them as long as no one takes it seriously

I am a bit of a grump myself 😜 and I have never taken to acting cute and posing with V sign even when young. But if women can fall in love with a “cold” man I am sure it can happen other way round too. It’s quite nice to see a different portrayal of a woman. My husband doesn’t find me acting cute or pouting my lips as being attractive either 😂

I think I am bias as I like Gina from her other comedy drama where she was hilarious

The reason for breaking up is quite realistic and also having a slight regret as she hasn’t found anyone else better ten years or how many years down the road. - totally unrelated reminds me of Bennifer right now (ha!)
