Did anyone else cackle when Kim SungKyun (Sam ChunPo in 1994) revealed himself?! I hadn't realized he was in this drama (as one of the dads, no less) and burst out laughing/cheering
I think I'm shipping her with SunWoo but it looks like I may be on the less popular ship just like last time with Trash oppa. Ah, remember 1997 when everybody was shipping the same thing...simpler times :P
i just can't deal with that episode where she gets "kidnapped" it drives me up the wall even thinking about how ridiculously that whole thing played out
15 minutes into episode 1 I had to come on here and make sure it was really Ha JiWon playing HaNa because her voice was driving me up the wall with how high pitched and whiny it sounded, looking at the comments below her character is apparently really immature and I don't know if I'll keep watching it if that's the case- Ariel Lin's character carried In Time With You and had she been the stereotypical whiny clingy girl (that is unfortunately common in especially KDramas) I wouldn't love that drama like I do. You'd think remakers would understand the need to keep key points like that.
Taiwan:
Good Morning Hard City; Adrian Fu (In a Good Way)
I Will Not Love You; Chen BoLin (In Time With You)
Ai Mei; Rainie Yang (Devil Beside Me)
Korea
Incurable Illness; Navi (Secret)
Hallucinations; Jang JaeIn (Kill Me, Heal Me)
Fight the Bad Feeling; T-Max (Boys Over Flowers)
Jaywalking; Sung Joon (Shut Up Flower Boy Band)
Aside from all of its other wonderful qualities, something I really really loved about this drama is that the bad and evil characters didn't receive the blanket forgiveness that so many dramas frustratingly dole out in the final episode.
I'm so glad this ends today. I wouldn't be able to finish this drama if it was longer than 16 episodes- after about the episode 8 mark I was sticking around just for the cast since the story just kind of stopped progressing altogether.
Anyone else suspicious that the annoying journalist girl had something to do with HaeYoung and SangHyo splitting up? Like she caused some misunderstanding or caused them to miss meeting up? I definitely think there's more to their break-up since so far we've only seen SangHyo's point of view...(still glad she decked him though, since he did just leave without a word- even if he bought her a ticket to join him later)
The words "American re-make" rarely sit well with me, but I'll wait to judge at least until there are previews. That being said, this actually sounds legitimate, as opposed to the epic fiasco of BOF. The writers have pretty good credentials and this may end up being a pretty good show, though I wouldn't be surprised if they deviate heavily from the drama, since most American re-makes seem to take a basic premise, follow it for one or two episodes, then completely change and add to the original storyline (if not only because they're dealing with multiple seasons instead of being able to wrap everything up at 16 or 20 episodes).
Whatever happens, good or bad, it won't effect my views of this wonderful drama.
Hmm, I'm excited about the team behind this and half of the casting choice! I'll wait for more details about the storyline to decide whether or not I'll watch it though (then again I made it through the craziness of Doctor Stranger for LJS so I'll probably watch it no matter what)
The OST on this is simply gorgeous! I really enjoyed the first 2 episodes, and while the murder/creepy-mustache-guy element seems a little off, the chemistry between our leads is great!
I would have enjoyed this drama so much more if GyuHan and YoonHee had gotten together. Especially since they clearly loved each other. HaeSung's entire storyline annoyed me from the start. I'm glad he got to know his daughter, but just because they have a child together doesn't mean he automatically has control over YoonHee's life. Him constantly asking to get back together and telling the elders they were getting married when she only rejected him was ridiculous.
I feel like my main problem with this drama was that I thought it was smarter than it actually was. Instead, I wound up majorly disappointed with all the wasted potential.
This is a truly enjoyable drama. It has a wonderfully quick pace that prevents it from getting bogged down in one overriding conflict (something that so many other dramas fall victim to) and at almost every turn it surprised me in its ability to overcome drama tropes (I was particularly fond of how the love triangle and step-sibling issues were handled). I just really enjoyed watching this sweet and fun drama and I really do recommend it!
Does anyone else think he looks exactly like Kim Jeong Hoon?? Because I get them mixed up all the time. Before I compared their pages side to side I though KJH was in Ojakgyo Brothers and YWCFTS
It's going to be sad to loose him to the army soon, but holy crap just looking at his filming schedule from this year, he may actually get to relax more there than right now :P
