According to the book his memories return at the very end. After XF commits suicide. So until he looses her he won’t know. Then he lives his life wanting her for which she’ll never return.
If you see the song that is played in Ep 25 I think when he gets drunk and goes and XF is just standing outside in her wedding garments, tells the whole story of him after the death of XF. The lyrics were penned by the author and the fox mentioned in it is the prince (which is depicted earlier also when XF dreams of the fox caught in the trap which later turns into an image of the prince). The shepherd girl in the song is XF. The fox goes to the sand dunes and waits for the shepherd girl but at last the fox can’t stay anymore and he goes. Which means that the prince goes to the place that XF commits suicide (but she’ll never come back cuz she’s dead) and everyday watches but after 20-30 years later he finally commits suicide at the same place she did. This is according to the book but I don’t know how it’ll be in the drama as it has two endings and also it showed XF slicing her neck so most probably she won’t die the same way she did in the book which wasn’t jumping to her death. The trailer showed that too but most probably she survives that cuz in the book first she survives cuz Ah Du visions her and dies instead and XF stabs herself to death afterwards. But there is a big chance all of this is changed XD

Ha ha same here. I went into it on an impulse thinking it’ll be like those other cutesy web dramas but I wasn’t expecting such a roller coaster of emotions. I’ve never been so invested in a Chinese drama (or any drama as a matter fact) since A Love So beautiful.
Also for the crown prince. He’s just after the throne. That was his ultimate goal but unfortunately along the way he fall in love with XiaoFeng. Not once but twice. One thing is for sure. He only love XF. It’s just he has a really bad of way of showing it XD he can’t express his feelings publicly cuz then XF will be everyone’s target. So his mood swings look worse than a pregnant lady’s XD

They are both amazing actors. The charisma that CXX gives off as the Li Cheng Yin is amazing and PXR is simply gorgeous. More than anything they are hidden gems in acting. They give their 100%

The number of episodes drastically decreased. There was a rumor saying this is being broken into two seasons. Hopefully that's the case. Cuz the trailer looks good.

It's still a bit too early but i really don't get the same vibe as "Because of Meeting You" but will give at least 20 more episodes and take y final decision to drop it or not.

Agreed. Even I don’t have second lead syndrome here. The ML’s charisma definitely overthrows everyone else.

OH MY GOD YES!!! I saw it and had no one to share it with!! Yes they say it’s the still for the original ending where he grows old without her after she commits suicide. Did you see the lyrics of the song after the ML goes SeSe room drying their wedding night and FL is standing outside? The song about a fox. Apparently the lyrics to he song was written by the author. The fox in the song is the ML and the shepherd girl he’s waiting for is the FL. But the shepherd girl never comes cuz she’s dead and the sand dune where he waits is the place where she committed suicide. In the end of the song it says that the fox couldn’t wait no more. That means at the end even the ML commits suicide at the same place the FL commits suicide

Yes technically it is a happy ending but I personally wanted to smash the ML's head with a big iron desk :)

Hey. it's really nice to see someone who knows about the story so much. yes even I can't help myself from watching it RAW. I guess the last killing will only make him a bad person. Still again is ti wrong of me to expect a happy ending? :(

True I agree with all. Also they have changed the ML a lot from the book to make him like-able. Even Cnetz are saying the ML in the drama is alot like-able than the book ML. AFTER THIS THERE IS A SPOILER> DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW XD

One of the biggest changes I like is in ep 35 or 36 (I'm not sure of the episode) there was supposed to be a scene where the ML gets drunk sleeps with a maid and she becomes the concubine after getting pregnant with ML's child, the drama had in changed. The maid (in the drama I think she wasn't a maid even) was already pregnant and the ML sobers up before sleeping with her but he makes her a concubine anyway I think (the last part I'm not sure, I'm not good at Chinese so I've seen only snippets XD) They are trying to redeem him in the drama a bit I think. Lol.

I dunno. I know he shouldn't have killed the grandfather. That is the only thing I find him accountable so far. Still I want him to be happy with the FL. He truly loves her but I have a feeling he's gonna kill another innocent person in his rage filled mind and that'll make lot of people hate him more.
