I wasn't expecting anything from this drama and was pleasantly surprised. I binged the first 10 episodes and felt thoroughly entertained. For me, 2023 was the year of disappointments. Some dramas with top-class casts weakened so much in the middle, that I lost interest completely. 2024 seems to be the year of positive surprises, because dramas I wasn't expecting were a hit for me. Hopefully this drama will end as well as it started.
Ep 9: Finally a breakup for understandable and absolutely correct reasons! No strange misunderstandings, no bad character, no intervention by a third person, but their lives simply diverge.
I like this drama from the first episode to the last. The characters are complex and believable, as are their motivations and the resulting actions. I find the setting interesting and believable. I now know the Korean education system a little better. But some things are also similar in the education system in my country, the parents who put pressure on children and teachers, the inadequacies of the public education system that lets everyone down, the personalities of the dedicated teachers who sometimes remind me of crosses between self-promoters, therapists and drill sergeants, the struggle for the joy of learning and much more. One springnight and Something in the rain are on my favorites list, Midnight romance in Hangwon joins them. I appreciate that despite stylistic similarities, all 3 dramas are not reproductions but completely original.
I like this drama and the MLs. It's a nice story and a detailed movie adaptation. What strikes me, however, is that actress Tan Song Yun likes to pass on dubious wisdom to the audience in her dramas. My favorite one right now is: "No individual can remain unharmed when the group is in danger." Wow, this statement can be used to sacrifice an individual if the group decides that this is for their protection. Long live the communist committee!
Will you share with me your top 6 dramas 😊🙏, I am trying to see what else to watch

I didn't expect much when I started this drama, 70 episodes later, after an intense journey, it has earned itself 9.5 points and has landed at number 7 of my all time favorite dramas. So good!
Episode 5 is very rich in my eyes. Apart from questions of education and education policy, I also find the topics of company management exciting. How do I bind important personalities to a company, corporate policy in the sense of ruling and sharing or dismantling employees who are too successful. Questions about the sustainable handover of a successful entrepreneur-led company to a successor. These are all topics that are very topical and present in times of a shortage of skilled workers (at least here in Germany). How does success or failure change the social dynamic in the workplace? These are questions that I find exciting and I am curious to see how they will be answered here. I'm not going to turn this drama into a showcase for my cognitive abilities, like it was mentioned in some previous comments, either. I work in the education sector and I think topics related to this industry are interesting and important.
My stance on censorship is nuanced and context-dependent. I wouldn't advocate for censoring art that seeks to…
Let's take a simple example like a picture depicting a communist fraternal kiss. Depending on the viewer, the interpretation can range from pornography to solidarity to criticism of the regime. Who determines morality and where is it binding and who and how should offenses against morality be punished?
I held out until episode 11 in the hope that the unfriendly FL would thaw out at some point. Is it an Asian thing to make an potential lover suffer for a long time until you give him a smile? I'm definitely a friend of long introductory phases, but can't you be friendly during them? I would have turned my back on an annoying bi*** like that a long time ago, so I'm saying goodbye here.
