@SedRegina - I personally think the writer is an important factor. I am worried that they did not announce the name of the writer because it is not Hai Yan. I also would like to think the Daylight entertainment realizes just how much this is loved and let Kong Sheng direct this. I hope that you are right. So many fans love this series that not to give it total attention would be a shame.
This movie should come with a warning for extreme graphic violence. I almost threw up a few times. Ugh - I wish I never turned this movie on because now I am going to have nightmares. Just awful! That one death scene on the bed did it for me and I shut it down. I rated a 1 because there is no way to rate this a -10.
I loved this drama and wish there were more episodes. It was so clever, fresh and intelligent. Great acting and I was emotionally involved with all the characters. I really miss it. The Head Eunuch was fascinating.
Just finished this and it was A+ form E1 to E36. Great drama! All the actors were terrific from the OTP to the secondary characters. A really clever story and a clever and mature script. You really become attached to the characters and root for them. I wish there were more episodes. I would have watched 100 episodes of this. The romance was so sweet. I wish CDrama Land would give us more dramas like this.

Yes SKF - this is really a good one. The details you mention above are all well done and add an extra touch. Great job by the designers. I do not know about you, but I kept seeing Gollum's face transposed on Head Eunuch Qin's face, and I mean that as an absolute complement. Mu Huaihu is so fascinating to watch in this role - those hairy antics in his room! All the actors are doing a great job. I really like the way the relationships are portrayed and I cared about these characters from E1.
Looks like the original author Qing Xian Ya Tou also worked on the drama script. Knowing that makes me feel better about the path this drama will take. Now I am going to have to do some research on this author to see what else they have done. Waiting right now for subs for E21+ and this is one you cannot watch raw. Sigh! As they say "Good things come to those that wait".
Writer-nims out there in KWorld - please, please give my girl Jung Hye Sung a decent comedy script. She is so worthy of this. I ? her. She is the real deal when it comes to funny. Hurry up please! I need to fall down laughing watching her hi-jinks on the screen. She puts a big smile on my face.

Cringy is a perfect description. I cannot believe this is the same writer who brought us Fated to Love You. Maybe writer-nim is going through a rough patch.? This drama is all over the place.
Between the chaotic writing , the unexpected dissapearing ML (a wtf moment if there ever was one) and his bi-polar shenanigans (E12) and the jealousy arc not to mention the wasteful fillers, I am throwing in the towel. This drama started going south at E10 and hit rock bottom at E12. I feel badly for these talented actors as they deserve better writing than this. They are really trying their best but this script is awful. Poor Nana and Min Ki!
This article is hysterically funny. I got a really good laugh out of reading this - thank you. I cover my eyes whenever there is a scene in a car anymore, especially when it is angled from the passenger side view looking at the driver. I keep thinking that truck is going come on my screen any minute. Yikes!
