so did you watch it?
Yes, I did and I was blown away by how good it was. I felt like I was on a roller coaster ride. It also had a good ending. I never would have found this if not for your review - thanks! ?

I feel like an idiot but i didn't realize this was a time jump drama like at all. Can someone explain it to me?…
Strawberryjams and Patricia - I was so confused by these as well until I read your posts. I did not even realize that those duplicate scenes were time jumps either. Hmm, that is not a good thing that we as viewers did not pick that up. Now I wonder what else did I not see or realize. The writer and editor have the responsibility to make these transitions between present and future clear to every viewer.

To be honest, I am getting frustrated and a little annoyed with this drama. It had so much potential (mature relationship albeit with too cliche conversations, PBG's struggle to make it on his own terms, his manager finding her own inner strength and purpose, FL allowing love into her life, SML growing up, his Mom being forced to realize she has to stand down etc.) to go somewhere new and fresh. Now it seems to be heading to the same old-same old we have seen over and over again. I dropped Temperature of Love and Doctors, both written by same writer, Ha Myung Hee.

I do want to say that I really like the ML and FL as actors and I am enjoying their performances and I feel bad that they have to deal with this script. There are a few more episodes so hope against hope Ha Myung Hee can reverse some of the negatives|unanswered issues into positives. Here is hoping!

Those final scenes and moments were superb, phl. Who would have thought season 2 would be better than season 1?…
Sean - almost forgot to say that another big hit for me was the ending song by my favorite artist in the world - Ha Hyun Woo and 'In This Silence'. I was like - "Can this get any better?" Not to mention the last interaction between the leads in that restaurant where so little was said and so much was conveyed. That is the power of two highly gifted, seasoned actors. The entire cast was stellar. This drama and Into the Ring are my faves this year.

I told you I would get this done and I am proud of myself ?. I even rewatched S1 and timed it perfectly (yes NIF got in the way again ?). I agree completely- S2 is better than S1. Our leads knocked it out of the park - absolute perfection!!! I want more Sean......

My favorite song of all time is from Rooftop Prince - Hurt sung by Ali. It is deeply moving. The drama was pretty good. I hope you get a chance to watch it.

Thank you for this very solid and well written review. This was one of the sleepers of the year for me for many reasons - I love a good detective story, the story kept me interested all the way through (and that ending!) and the actors did a great job with their roles. Wang Ruo Shan is so incredibly beautiful. I thought the cinematography was excellent as well. I did read about the issues that may hold up a second season which was sad. I hope that they can resolve those issues and maintain the original cast because their chemistry was very good. I am glad you posted this as I hope more viewers can tune in - it is so worth it.

Thank youu!! I too loved this show, but I seem to be the only one who is hyping it. I read some articles which…
Nirvana in Fire is my personal number 1 drama of all time and I cannot imagine any other drama being better than this. It is a masterpiece for the ages in every respect - cinematography, story, etc.. I do not know how far along you are in the drama, but the first few episodes are a little confusing. Stick with as it gets better with every episode. It also gets better with every re-watch as I have seen this eight times since it was released and I rarely re-watch dramas. While there are some people who did not like it (very little romance) there were many that loved it. I hope you enjoy it!

I really loved this drama. What a gem of a love story. While many folks did not like the Mother in this drama (myself included) I think that her wealthy, beautiful, dysfunctional family unit was written into the story so that we can see how much more beautiful some one with a simple and pure soul Pooh is. The scene in the elevator was deep - may be one of my favorite dramas scenes if all time.
