Sean - I just finished the book. I noticed that the screenwriter is not listed on this page. They only show the original novel writer Xiao Jia Ren. Screenwriter is also not listed over at DramaWiki. I can't imagine that the original writer wrote the drama script as there is a marked difference. The drama is much better - in my opinion. I loved the episodes today! I am very impressed by OTP chemistry.

I also thought of AMO while I was watching and compared the AMO studio process to whoever is doing BMP's sound. 😁 Maybe BMP did it on purpose, but for what purpose I could not say. It is distracting, but personally not distracting enough to make me not love this drama. I had to laugh when the slippers sounded like tap shoes and did not match the steps taken on the screen. 😆 I thought I was the only one who noticed this. You have good ears!

@Nana - I agree, although with the censure of Zhang Zhehan it would mean that they would need to find a new actor for young Lin Shu and Wang Kai may not be available. There is so, so much quality background material for a prequel! Fei Liu's sad early days, what happened with Lin Shu after Meiling, etc.
