Wow, and I thought I figured it out just by the jacket sleeves, but thinking that would be too obvious! This is next level rewinding and pausing for clues! (thinking that link might warrant a spoiler tag though, since it's a spoiler)
My favourite character is kang yeong u, he is so quirky and funny. Having someone like him at work makes it 10…
The actor Im Chul Soo is so great with these character roles! He was absolutely ridiculous (in the best way) but also kind of scary as a loud and obnoxious mob guy in My Sweet Mobster.
Love the the leads, so a bit disappointed to see a 7.8. Is it worth checking out? (I can deal with AI face swaps, if that's the main complaint). (I've enjoyed my share of dramas that were rated lower than 8, but with too many dramas to watch, sometimes I have to rely on ratings to help shorten my crazy long list a little! π )
Just finished S2 and absolutely loved it. I hope they can bring back the original Ye Ling'er and Yan Binyun's from S1. Otherwise, I thought it was nearly perfect.
I'm almost done this and I can't rave enough about it. It is so smart, so well plotted, surprisingly funny, with fantastic and rich characters and side characters. The showdowns and battle of wits scenes are fantastic. The assassination scene is one of the most visually arresting and exciting tableaus I've scene in a c-drama. If I had to point to any flaw, it would be with the casting replacements of Ye Ling'er and Yan Bingyun. I confess I am also selfishly relieved that the Zhang Haowei scandal broke after this aired; with all the current complaints about his AI face swap in Brocade Odyssey, it would have been such a travesty to see that in this brilliant drama...
i was under the impression that after he took her home he returned to the police to ask them what happened/make…
The tie he was wearing at the police station was different then the black tie he wore the day he picked her up on the side of the road and all the events that happened later that day in the evening at the dinner with his parents (still a black tie). Also, he implied that he wouldn't be going to the station right away when he spoke with the police. So I am quite sure it was a different day. At first I also thought it was before the interview, but again, he wore the same tie all day the day of the interview, which was the day after the nursing home incident, and that tie was a different one from the one at the police station as well.
fl is the illegitimate child of a big shot, her mother was a mistress. her half-sister, the legitimate child,…
They haven't revealed the real purpose of the kidnapper is yet, but we know he is working for someone he calls "master" (so he is probably the "disciple").
me too ππ€£ I thought there's another day that the skipped too. but I just dig the episode again π apparently…
Yes, exactly. It was a black tie the day with the nursing home visit, then a thin striped black tie the day of the interview, and then the next day was the anniversary celebration, where we only saw everyone in evening wear.
The premise reminds me a little of Joss Whedon's Dollhouse...wonder if there's any similarities? (I can't believe that show was from 15 years ago now. π€―)
I started to watch it. there are some issued I don't get . Why she still think he wanted to see her dead?... She…
I think she knows now he said it because he didn't think she was in real danger, but the words still haunt her, and she's simply taking advantage of the situation to try and get her husband to divorce her so she can be free.
I was combing through the episode staring at tie patterns to figure out when the epilogue clip happened, that's how ridiculous I'm being. π€£ As far as I can tell, that particular tie was never worn during the episode, which were consecutive days, so it must have happened earlier that day before the 70th anniversary party? Unless it happens after the events of Ep 4....
Almost from the get-go, this drama made me think of the Burning Sun scandal and all the real life headlines about the dark underbelly of the Gangnam clubbing scene.
It's very gripping, but also a disturbing watch, especially when the director apparently consulted with club promoters, police, and prosecutors to give the events/cases more authenticity, and the author of the novel that inspired this script reportedly spent six months as a driver for call girls and interviewed homeless youths to capture the dark side of life in Gangnam.
I think there are more than a few of us out here that steer away from continual βdramaβ, whether onscreen…
I find C dramas can be just as over the top. K dramas have "makjang", C dramas have "dog's blood" (ηθ‘). π But yes, sometimes, sound off would be nice. π π¬
Every day is so eventful, lol.
