That’s what I’m thinking. It seems to be after they are married and both have very successful careers. Really looking forward to the rest of the episodes because it will be their time and those BTS videos show how affectionate they are.

If you don’t like slice of life and slow build up of relationship from friendship, then it may not be for you. There’s romance but it’s more realistic to the time period and for some people it may be too slow. I thoroughly enjoy the nuances of slice of life dramas when the script and acting is good and this one definitely meets the mark and pulled me in.

She’s postponed it so she can help XCS get back on his feet but her career goals remain the same. She’s one of the most steadfast characters when it comes to that, even standing up to her parents and not switching to music which would have gotten her into the military earlier. She’s got the medical training through the military, so I think when she’s ready, she’ll get fully qualified in the civilian sector since we see her as a practicing doctor in the credits.

See middle-end of ep 15 where her boss gave her a 2nd path to becoming a doctor (traditional path would take 5 years and give her a late start since she was already 21 and exams just opened up). Since the military needed doctors fast, they had a special military training program that allowed them to become doctors faster but it only allowed those doctors to practice in the military without taking the exam and getting her certificate/license. So she’s trained but not fully qualified for a civilian hospital until she takes the exam, etc. She’s putting it off to get XCS back on his feet. She’ll finish everything and become qualified soon. All her training part wasn’t shown and there was the short time skip.

There were scenes of hem all suited up so I think she was caring for patients during one of the flu epidemics. Which flu depends on the time frame as there was forms of Flu A (H1N1) in mid 80’s, avian flu in the 90’s and first SARS in 2002.

I think he sees the book and bookmark after they’ve already gotten together. It would be awesome if that was the case.

Never said anyone had to be a bad guy in a break up. Break ups happen for multiple reasons and circumstances. Her responses just don’t match what the reality is when it comes to being an elite soldier but then that just shows the differences between the two of them and that’s okay since it’s realistic. Can’t wait to see all their characters’ development.

It may be because of how she’s reacted so far in ep 15/16. Previews are always iffy but we’ll see what happens. They’re trying but starting to change.

Watching the previews, I’m a little confused on what HHL thinks happened during the incident. I’m guessing that they hid the fact that YGH was the one who actually stepped on the mine or did she not want him to help others in that situation. Umm…he’s an elite soldier, danger comes with that job. The incident definitely highlights the difference in XCS and HHL. Their personalities/priorities at the core are just too different.

So the break up will be in ep 20? Looking at the clips on YouTube, XCS will have more interactive scenes together TXM than he did with HHL. Their relationship will be more out in the open. I always felt that even though HHL really had feelings for VCS, she always left herself open in case expectations were not met and she needed to choose someone else with more benefits like her mom warned her.

Once the episodes started, I realized that was HHL being pulled in two directions by YGH and XCS. She’s the only one besides Heidi’s girl that had two guys vying for her attention.

Yeah…I noticed who was missing from that picture. YGH, HHL, and CHJ separated themselves probably for all the reasons we discussed above which is sad but it’s a part of life as people go through experiences and change. The ending song is lovely as XCS forgot about his “library girl” for a moment…the song is fitting for XCS and TXM.

Is the way they’re speaking in this drama Beijing dialect? I’ve been trying to listen to the difference ever since reading ABAY novel.

It was on her own legs. Maybe she was researching and practicing on herself before treating XCS.

Looking at the credits and the teasers, does FL leave the military to be there for ML and further her medical knowledge? It looked Ike she was practicing acupuncture on her legs.
