That’s the thing I don’t get. Even though I like XK but can’t get into some of the dramas because of the FL, it has nothing to do with XK so I just won’t watch. I don’t rate what I don’t watch nor invest time in crying over the pairing. I guess some people just have a lot of time on their hands.

This is the 4th drama of Xu Kai’s that I’ve been able to finish (AMA, TSYP, WOL are the other 3). I love TSY in most all of her dramas. I see people talking about TSY bringing the best out of XK’s acting. Having watched both of their works, I think TSY is the kind of actress that doesn’t like to overshadow her partners, but have a collaboration where both can shine. It’s the same with one of my fave k-actresses, LSY. XK has always been good in his work and developed with each experience but sometimes, his characters get overshadowed by the others in his dramas, possibly due to screen time.

I couldn’t get into BCE and SAHPH because I have a hard time watching YM and YZ dramas. I only like YM in costume dramas and have only finished 2 of YZ dramas from when she first started,

lol…poor LLX in ep 38…he was so ready…I remember ZDW showing his abs on a variety during Kunning Palace promotions. He had the best abs out of the bunch there. He got the chance to show it onscreen again 🤣

It already started low because antis already rated on it as soon as it started so the MDL rating is after counter balance from fans of the show. Also not everyone is satisfied with the adaptation changes. The official ratings in China are good though.

Was thinking about giving that one or The Princess Royal a try.
