Yes, it was because in the novel, SYC gave her money for the start-up so it was hers and SYC’s money put together (that’s why Xing for JX and Chen for SYC = XingChen), no loan from LiLi. In the drama she gave the money back to SYC when she overheard him and WQZ in the kitchen doubting her so in drama XingChen company name is from the view of the starry sky from the rooftop of their first building.

JX resigns before the merger. HT brings in 2 people from Donyang, not just 1. Also, the merger was between 3 entities: Han Hai, Xing Chen, and AI department/Dr. Cloud from Donyang. Name is Han Hai XingChen, a subsidiary of Donyang Medical, not investor relationship.

Meeting 1 was merger (JX didn’t attend)
Meeting 2 was shareholder meeting to decide on structure as well as share structuring (JX had to attend because other than HT, she was the largest shareholder of XingChen, SZZ did not go cause his shares were too small)

They have 1 President/CEO and 4 VPs.
President: Jiang Huai (Dongyang VP in AI/Dr. Cloud) - the one in the beginning that wanted JX to join his team)
VP:Luo Ping (Dongyang AI Director) in charge of production and marketing
VP: Chen Niyang (Han Hai CEO) in charge of product and administration
2 VP spots open: one is Tech and Procurement (Jiang offered JX this position)

LiLi was never worked at XingChen so she was not part of anything. SZZ went to be part of the technological department as a lead.

I’m not a fan of her ending up with either of the two guys. I vote for pairing her with Tang Song or the new guy Qin Lin, something different. Even if they make her happily single writhing for Mr. Right so that she can be true to herself.

They changed the merger process. Looks like they made both former CEOs the VP and brought Luo Ping (was VP in novel) from Donyang as CEO. The ending of 32 sounds like she’ll resign. We’ll see in tomorrow’s episode since they cut it off part of the way through her email. The trailer does show that she comes back because HT got hurt and CH/ZD was attacking HanHai XingChen and Donyang again.

I understand where you’re going with this because his actions showed his love but his words didn’t match in certain definitions of love. HT’s grandfather’s influence about love is pretty ingrained in him and I think it’s also because love is an Achilles heel for some, a weakness that can be exploited, which is what the triad of evil did. I was feeling like he was doing all he can to bind her to him so that when the inevitable did happen, the news of him and Han Hai, he could keep her from getting upset and leaving him. He started with all the family stuff right after he almost told JX about Han Hai. And the one sentence that got me was, “we’ve met family now so no matter what happens later, you can’t regret.”

lol…because they said they never said the child’s name in the drama. They said they would only say things like Chen Chen, take your little brother to study so the second son was referred to as little brother 🤣

They already had to compete with Han Hai for that project that they were originally going to be chosen for, She already made a strategic outlook plan for XingChen. No matter what, you’ll always think about competitors which is why she built the strategy to not be in direct competition but to have a specialty first to get established and then grow and have their own spot on the market. When you determine how you’ll handle competitors, you must decide the risks you’ll take. The only way to be free from Donyang is to have other investors or if Donyang sells their shares. Like how HT wanted to give ZD back his shares of her company. Some investment agreements have buyback options if their only goals is to help start-ups get started.
