In the novel, they changed clothes because the real LBY wanted to go out and play. In exchange he gave Huo Wushang some apricots. Huo Wushang went to his father's office to share the apricots and saw Ling Yi killing his dad. Then his cousin was mistaken for him and killed. Huo Junhua played along and hid LBY's identity by prentending to go crazy and disappearing for a year.

She was mad at LBY as usual, and went out with her 3rd brother and Ban Jia, they met with the Crown Prince, 3rd Prince and some scholar that was teaching.. It was winter and they were like in a mountain,then Ling Buyi shows up with the Liang bros., they started walking and got to like a drop were you could see the city in the distance. Suddenly there was an avalanche and CSS was caught in it and LBY jumped to catch her and they fell together.. Later they were saved but were in a tent and CSS was washing LBY's feet when she noticed a birth mark like a lion's head. When the bloodbath with the Ling family happened, she went to the palace with the 3rd prince( as seen in the preview for ep 49, and will ask the King if he did not notice that LBY looks just like Huo Chong, and while being questioned by the court, the King will say that Huo Wushang had his father's birth mark and CSS will confirm that it is in LBY's feet/leg. Up till that moment the king had not authorised the rescue for LBY cause he fell from the mountain when he was being pursued after the massacre. But when the king realized LBY is Huo Chong's son he immediately sends a search party to retrieve him. Also in the book, he will confirm his identity to her when he is done with the slaughter, cause she went after him because she felt something was not right and had a sixth sense. Meanwhile it looks like in the drama he will be a Noshow at the wedding and that's why she is going to go after him dressed in red.
I have a feeling that LBY / HWS wiill show up when she is leaving the palace to get engaged to YS since there are only 4 previews missing and she is still not engaged to YS, seems there is still so much missing, plus in the book she never told YS that she still loved HWS.. Also, we still have not seen Yanji' s last act as per the trailer. They took out my favorite which is the avalanche scene to replace it with the almond allergy...
I think LBY almost fessed up to CSS when he said " Actually , I.." and then switched to " I really need you", because before that he said he was the last of the Huo family... Preparing the tears for next week....
