From my perspective, this show can be a hit or miss, given the first installment's rating and also people's wariness of Fox Spirit Matchmaker series (after all, all the 3 installments are iQIYI's best trump cards to turn the tide in platform wars). Regardless of the outcome, I'll be watching this for Liu Shishi, Zhai Xiaowen, Ryan Ding, and many more.
Totally different from the 'injustice' the makeup artist did to her character in TBoY, Lin Boyang is absolutely…
Don't worry about that. In the novel, she dates two men (one at New York and the other at China) and even gave birth to two sons. However, she breaks up with the first guy and divorces the second guy. Nope, she won't be chasing the ML, you're lucky lol.
I'm currently watching Rattan and I love Vin Zhang and Jing Tian's onscreen chemistry. I hope they are reunited once more for this project. And the novel writer is the one who writes Rattan too.
I have been re-reading the novel from time to time and I can feel the main CP's chemistry. I particularly love their first encounter and breakup arc. Hoping it will be a good show and maybe a hit if possible βοΈβοΈ
Please πππ Let this rumor be true. I've been π€‘-ed for more than half a year already and it's NOT funny, seriously. FYI, the rumor started from June 2024...
I don't know whether this stuffs are real or not, but I'm just saying my inner feelings out of sympathy. If you feel dissatisfied, don't come at me, okay?
After seeing a lot of people yapping here and there, I can't help but feel concerned for Esther Yu. This very new crew needs to be taught a lesson, if I must say. Why go to such extreme lengths to mistreat her? In the real life, everyone won't be happy if he/she is mistreated in a society and must be treated equally. Same goes for Esther Yu too. She only keeps silent so that no one will cause an uproar because of this case. All she can do is to endure everything until the show wraps up. I hope she'll alright until then.
Did she have any problems with the production? Is it serious?
I'm afraid that there's going to be a major deviation of the OG source. I dislike it when they try to divert from the original storyline, but as long as the changes don't affect the overall series, it's still fine. However, if the changes are not satisfying or even turn the story off-road, then it'll be us watchers yapping day and night. FYI, I had also read the novel before the filming began (when the π was still Chen Zheyuan and Esther Yu, to be precise). I must say I really like the main leads, whether it is Jiang Mu or Jin Chao. Jiang Mu is not a damsel-in-distress and can defend herself from those who wants to harm her and Jin Chao. And she's definitely not some kind of lovestruck girl like all of you saying (based on the brand new shitty script). With those being said, I'm still looking forward to this show even though I have to lower my expectation a bit due to this conflicts and blah blah blah. Furthermore, the director is notorious for destroying all kinds of projects that he had taken up before (just see the ratings for his previously-directed shows and you'll know why).
Now I understand why people are saying Su Yu and Mu Ranwu are super annoying. Whenever they pop out of the screen, I just keep mumbling 'please get out of my sight as soon as possible'. Anyway, no hate to the actors...
