I just finished episode four and am bored out of my mind. How much longer until the series gets interesting?
You may need to endure several episodes until they wrap up Xiaowei's case. I suppose ep 10 or 11 will be the new arc. After Xiaowei's case ends, they also need to recover for a little while (taking 1-2 episodes).
Don’t people rate AFTER they complete a drama? How do some of you rate already when you don’t even know the…
Well, it's kind of a habit for me to rate randomly, then settle to a fixed number when the drama has completed. Somehow this method works for me. That 7.5 is just my initial impression of VOS, but as I said above, I'll consider on increasing the rating if it turns out be better than my expectations.
I take back everything I say about "all styles no substances". It's still the main foundation of the drama, but at least, the story is getting interesting. I don't really care who's who though. Anyway, my favorite scene so far is Wu Shiguang's master's entrance when he fights Wu Zhiqi (the BGM is the best of the best). Also, I like the scene when they enter the cave to search for Tian Di. That one is memorable as well.
If tomorrow's episode is improving, I may consider 8.0 as my rating.
Finished EP 3 My Thoughts: Visually pleasing drama but that's it. Plot is boring, execution is ridiculous, alot…
Well said, gurl. I even use 2x fast forward to endure all the way to ep 7 and honestly, the dialogues are all empty meaningless talk, as if they were stuck in a limbo or whatsoever. Now that you mention half demon half human's form, I come to remember that part. I feel a bit of incredulous, but since I literally skim through everything, I don't notice the abnormality of it.
This drama totally exceeds my earlier expectations and I'm hooked up right now - and even better compared to the murder mystery game next door (you'll know which drama I refer to).
I am right there with you CV - Edward Guo has lost his own plot. This first round of episodes is like his wet…
Now that you mention it, I come to think that it resembles K-Pop MVs with dozens of stunts and concise camera angle to showcase the beauties of the actors. And yes, I do feel a bit of sorry for Tian Jiarui, but I heard that he's beginning to take more projects outside of Guo Jingming's scope. I hope he will find his own path soon.
Before y'all bash me, I really need to say that all Guo Jingming's dramas are "all styles, no substances", but I still can't bear to use fast forward button because I'm afraid of missing out the phenomenal fight scenes. And the only interesting part is Tian Jiarui and Yan An, my two pretty boys...
I'm really confused of how to rate it now. Only watch 1 ep though due to clashing schedules with "Love beyond the Grave".
I don't why, but I feel there's something lacking in this drama. Will try to complete it though because I never get to finish the hardcopy of the novel lmfao.
If tomorrow's episode is improving, I may consider 8.0 as my rating.
