Why even care about the ratings at all? So long as YOU LIKE IT.. Ratings mean nothing, really.. UNLESS all viewers…
I tend to look at ratings before watching first (it's a fact), but for the sake of my dear Cheng Yi, I may consider to watch even if the rating is wrecked. My rating rule only applies to those who aren't my favorite (and also for stories which are not my cup of tea despite having star-studded casts).
Guys, what do you think about Fu Shan Hai? I'm pretty busy now and still have Shadow Love to catch up. I do HOPE I can watch this because I'm a big Cheng Yi's fangirl (he's one of the reasons I get into c-drama world when I first watched him in LAR and MLC. Those were the best moments in my life)...
But, if the rating keeps going down, I'm sorry for quitting... (can't afford to waste too much of time anymore. Life is very hectic nowadays).
Does the snake have a human form or is it just a mere snake? 🐍🐍
By the way, it's kinda cute if it hadn't been for its terrifying exterior. Reminds me of Slytherin's basilisk in the secret chamber and Sima Jiao as Tom Riddle aka Voldemort.
Actually the fastest LOTFG concluded will be on 23/08 if all 4 last episodes being released together (like usual),…
Yes, I'm also skipping those two. When Destiny Brings the Demon's plot sounds absurd to me (or maybe the synopsis is misleading) and Moonlit Reunion... not sure why, but I'm not really that interested anymore even though I love demon hunter-demoness trope.
I know I'm not supposed to linger on this page anymore, but I do want to share my view after watching only 9 episodes. To be honest, the first 3 ones are the most spectacular opening in a xuanhuan drama, where the theme focuses on how to ascend to immortality step by step (from zero to hero kind of thing). In addition, the captivating natural scenery is pleasing to eye, unlike the typical fake scenery generated by the use of excessive green screen and VFX effects. I think the best part is Han Li and Physician Mo's master-disciple relationship since I have a troubled relationship with one of my teachers as well. And what Physician Mo teaches him (hide cleverness with clumsiness, be good in discretion) sounds just like me. Big whoop, isn't it?
However, after he enters the Yellow Maple Valley, things start to go downhill, and the harem thingy is activated by introducing the FL and SFL, whom I have no impression of. TFL is better tho.
Someone is oddly correct about using deceptive means to improve oneself and survive in this harsh world. Han Li is totally superb in terms of lying and stealing, if you ask me (not even I can beat him). The way he steals the pouch of money in the market is just too...
Moreover, I'm not Yang Yang's hardcore fangirl, and that's why I've been pondering whether to touch this drama or not.
But the OSTs are quite nice, especially the opening one, which pushes me to have a look at this drama for the first time.
Overall, a 7.5/10. I'm just trying to stipulate my opinion here, so please don't attack me, or else I won't be bothered to deal with you.
Han Li is exceptionally superb when it comes to deception, secret ambush, and guilt-trip (even he makes those cultivators second-guess themselves). Honestly, I don't have the courage to be so shameless as him, so as to lie without blinking an eye (I'm very bad at lying myself). Just like an user wrote in a review yesterday, this show does promote cheating, lying, stealing and killing for the sake of survival. I understand and can relate to it very well because I'm an opportunist as well (but not a ruthless one tho). And it's also true that he relies heavily on herbs, pills, and magical artifacts to increase his cultivation level (which is a letdown) and this means is closely referring to cheating once again because you won't need to put much effort into your cultivation progress and just keep waiting for artifacts to come by and if necessary, just be a thief.
But, if the rating keeps going down, I'm sorry for quitting... (can't afford to waste too much of time anymore. Life is very hectic nowadays).
note:
To the point I abandon When Destiny Brings the Demon.
P.S.
After enduring the wrecking roller coaster of fiasco, Omniscient Reader.
