I see your point, guess I'll have to reread again once I'm in drama slump. Thanks for the heads-up.

Seriously, we've got a Gobi Desert in the book? I felt the OG source wasn't that interesting so I never made it past the first 10 chapters. Can you elaborate the content of the novel briefly 'cause I'm just so curious of what is happening VS the drama?

As you can see, it's loosely-based from Speed and Love (if you have watched that too) because I find every element, plot device, and trope is similar to the former.

I'm currently suspending my watching time for a while as exams are looming ahead (will come back whenever I have free time though). I wonder what kind of problematic plot device causes the rating to slump down (I mean the rank) a bit.

I'm also waiting for the school arc to come. The saloon stuff is tad of tedious for me (or is it because I have zero business acumen?).

Will Dazzling have similar vibes like Speed and Love? I'm totally in love with the author's previous work.

I'm really sorry, but I'm afraid I'll have to opt out from this show. Aside from the thieves, I can't seem to find any interesting or funny stuffs and somehow the poetic comedy comes off as forced (I tried to force a laugh indeed). The mafia guy arc is not hooking me up too. So, I've deleted this show from my watchlist and won't give any rating. See you guys and have fun. By the way, I'm binging Pegasus currently and it's way more exhilarating compared to this one.

By the way, the OG source was quite nice (I only read halfway, back when Neo Hou was rumored to take Zhang Yi'ang's role.

Bonus point: When you're stressed out, do play "Yong Chuang San Jiang Kou" in loop. I'm sure you'll love it.

Can't say his smile is fake/awkward, but it's more like a stalker/pervert style's. My mind keeps hovering to the word "pervert" 😭😭

And yes, we need more yappers for negative reviews.

It'd be better if we have this kind of buddy in real life.

Loyal to his loved one.

Well, he regards Ji Ling as his savior, so it's quite natural to be a bit of obsessive.

Guys, I'm curious what the best word to describe Li Jie's personality is. I can't seem to form words in my head TT.

After LBTG finishes, I guess I need to present my own yapping to the review section. See you there~~

Let me have my Yan Ke even if he's all-toxic and has an abundant red-flag material 😭😭😭

You may need to endure several episodes until they wrap up Xiaowei's case. I suppose ep 10 or 11 will be the new arc. After Xiaowei's case ends, they also need to recover for a little while (taking 1-2 episodes).

Well, it's kind of a habit for me to rate randomly, then settle to a fixed number when the drama has completed. Somehow this method works for me. That 7.5 is just my initial impression of VOS, but as I said above, I'll consider on increasing the rating if it turns out be better than my expectations.

I take back everything I say about "all styles no substances". It's still the main foundation of the drama, but at least, the story is getting interesting. I don't really care who's who though. Anyway, my favorite scene so far is Wu Shiguang's master's entrance when he fights Wu Zhiqi (the BGM is the best of the best). Also, I like the scene when they enter the cave to search for Tian Di. That one is memorable as well.

If tomorrow's episode is improving, I may consider 8.0 as my rating.

Does anyone know how to search VOS' BGMs? I badly need the part in ep 12 when they fight Wu Zhiqi.

Well said, gurl. I even use 2x fast forward to endure all the way to ep 7 and honestly, the dialogues are all empty meaningless talk, as if they were stuck in a limbo or whatsoever. Now that you mention half demon half human's form, I come to remember that part. I feel a bit of incredulous, but since I literally skim through everything, I don't notice the abnormality of it.

This drama totally exceeds my earlier expectations and I'm hooked up right now - and even better compared to the murder mystery game next door (you'll know which drama I refer to).
