What is MIA?
I'm enjoying it very much. Detective fiction with a mix of thriller and mystery is my cup of tea + Ao Ruipeng and Landy Li are rocking their roles. I feel the oozing chemistry between the two.

Good for you then. Kunning Palace is not made for me though (I dislike harem the most).

What is MIA?
I see. I just happen to drop by this page and thank goodness I don't watch it given the current mess. I'm now watching Coroner's Diary and I had had a debate with my inner self whether to choose the former over the latter.

Women in general ❌Woman with knife and scissors opening a corpse ✅Yan Chi having a crush at the first sight…
I literally roar in laughter at the vomiting scene. And yes, Qin Wan is quite of a unique badass girl (I mean we usually see badass girls as generals, assassins, and roles like that), but this time Qin Wan's role is an exceptionally talented coroner, relying heavily on forensic skills, not fighting and brawling anymore. I also feel the electric chemistry between the two leads. They are match made in heaven lmfao.

Why?
Nah, I don't know for sure, just rumours swirling here and there. But, it wrapped up back in January, so it's only been 6 months. I believe post production for a xianxia drama needs a lot of time - 9 or 10 months the most if you don't include the delay made by the platforms. Six months is kinda short unless they want to follow the path of The Princess Royal (it's not a fantasy drama, so it's understandable for it to air straight after wrapping up) and The Last Immortal. Even though it has gotten the distribution license, there's no guarantee that the editing will be completely done. They may change or perhaps do some smoothing again to make the show better when it airs. But, for now, we don't have any choice except to wait until 8th July and see if this rumour is true or just a 🤡

This will be my first time watching Landy Li tho. I only come for the plot and Ao Ruipeng 🥰🥰

Why?
As you can see , the drama isn't quite ready to be released. It may have gotten the distribution license and passed censorship, but the post production thingy... it will take ages to complete. What I'm afraid of is that they gonna rush everything and the final result will not be that good (it's a xianxia and needs tons of CGI). Also, I need to focus on Coroner's Diary this July. It's tiring to cope with two dramas at the same time.

WHAT THE HELL!!!???? I JUST PRAY THAT THE IMMORTAL ASCENSION WON'T CRASH WITH CORONER'S DIARY, AND NOW THIS ONE…
Yes, I hope so too. Love in the Clouds must be an S+ drama, of course they need proper promotion instead of airdropping it without any announcement. This may be a common practice for older dramas or those who have scandals before. But, Love in the Clouds seems to be in a safe zone. I can't fathom why Youku needs to do this. And don't forget they also have Our Generation deck too.

Has this already started its pre-broadcast investment promotion (seeking investors) before the scheduled release?…
If the investment promotion isn't opened yet, then July will not be possible, will it? Also, I notice that the CCTV's announcement on Weibo showing that The Immortal Ascension only has 30 episodes. Is it correct?

They probably decided to air it, cause of the success of Revenged Love. It will not air in China though, so they…
Summer seems to be the most crowded month for c-drama industry. By the way, I wanna tell you I had an awful period back in October 2024 when Fangs of Fortune and Love Game in Eastern Fantasy aired at the same time. I particularly like Love Game in Eastern Fantasy's IP. On the other hand, I also want to support Neo Hou in FOF. So, you can see how chaotic it was + I had dozens of assignments and group projects stacked up already.

This may sound rude, but I'm praying that The Immortal Ascension won't air this July. I don't want it to crash with Coroner's Diary. I always have a hard time whenever two of my most anticipated dramas air at the same time. Moreover, August is packed with Love on the Turquoise Land too (another Weiyu's project) and I need absolute concentration to watch this kind of drama (which involves supernatural forces, magic, horror gothic vibe, and etc).

Pull Strings may not be that quick. If I'm not mistaken, it was completed several months ago or maybe end of 2024. And it's a xuanhuan, so a lot of CGI is needed too. But, I'm also looking forward for Pull Strings too. It's adapted from a novel (and has its own donghua too called 'Big Brother'). It's super hilarious and I can't help but keep laughing at Li Changshou's antics. His junior sister isn't helping much either.
