Up to now, I've read the novel until chapter 67. It's giving off AASOL vibe LOL!!! Except for the economic and business stuffs, I love the plot and (*spoiler alert*) there are a lot of flirty scenes in the novel. I can't wait to see those scenes executed in the live action version. 😆😆😆
I wonder if they will shoot the university part at China or at the USA (in Ithaca, NY precisely). I wish they could film abroad too, just like AASOL (but this depends on their budget too).
If you tread on the novel carefully, you'll see some similarities between AASOL and this one. I won't be mentioning it as it will become a MAJOR SPOILER.
Teaser Trailer is cool but visually feels kinda generic and lack of flair. Nothing different from all costume…
To me, it looks pretty typical (compared to other iQIYI's xianxia and ordinary historical dramas). 1 minute is not enough for a trailer. I've rewatched the trailer twice, but didn't get any feelings out of it. So, just brace yourselves and wait for the release date. Until then, I'll be rewatching the trailer for umpteenth time.
So for getting license they changed whole character and drama's name.
Actually, I prefer the original name compared to the new one. I even watch the anime to understand the plot better (but still stuck in ep 19 or 20). I wonder if the drama will deviate from the real source or not 🤔
For me, it's one of the best dramas I've watched recently. The script, cast/acting, pacing, character development…
Thanks for your tips. But, I guess I'll just skip this as I'm quite busy right now (preparing for exams). Anyway, your description is pretty organized and I love it.
Guys, just some random question. Is this show worth watching? So far, I've only read comments and taken a sneak…
Oh, okay then. I'll watch this anytime when I get some spare time. I still have Burning Flames and Guess Who I Am to complete plus exams are coming in the following weeks. I can't make any rash decision as of now.
Guys, just some random question. Is this show worth watching? So far, I've only read comments and taken a sneak peek at the stills. This perks up my curiosity immediately. Their visuals are so 😍😍
Great name, cackle queen 🤣definitely demented, she is my no 1 ff button character 🫣
On the other hand, I don't find her annoying. To me, she fits the evil role perfectly. For your information, most villains have this kind of cackle laugh. I've had a stint of watching Tokusatsu series previously and found nearly all of the villains always put up this kind of evil cackle so I guess it's acceptable for me. But, if you can stand it, just skip or ffw before you're fed up by her character.🤣🤣
Lol, i loved a gou and bai cai paring but still low key shipping nitian wid bai cai esp in that iqiyi interview…
He seems to be in relationship with the demon girl, Sui Feng Qi Wu (according to the manhua's wiki, if I'm not mistaken). Let's wait for the upcoming episodes and brace yourselves 🙂🙂
I really hope we finally get to meet the demons that form a bond with ML and start building this anti-immortal…
Yes, I have been awaiting this part for long. My prediction is that they will have their first encounter in ep 18. In the ep 18's teaser, Sui Feng Qi Wu has shown up, so I believe the rest of the Dark Ones will come out one by one soon. :>
At first, I thought its his auntie, the Immortal High Priestess. But then the Old Man said he has no idea but…
The idea of Bai Cai being possessed quite makes sense. But, who would have the guts to possess her? The Dark Ones? At first, I also guess it's his dear auntie, but seems like I've gotten the wrong person.
I've watched TBW previously and it was an absolutely angsty scene (the one where Ji Yunhe pushed Chang Yi off the cliff)😭😭
Bai cai is toxic. Dhe all blaming falsly control and just very selfish....the show mrdiocre at best. You van watch…
In my opinion, Bai Cai isn't toxic at all. She just cares for A Gou a lot and is afraid that he might be injured when he's training. Bet she hasn't seen the gruesome training of the immortals 🥲
Anyway, her character is getting more interesting and complex as of ep 10. Will try to catch up the next episodes tomorrow.
When do you think the bloodstone mine arc is going to end (I'm on ep 6 now)? I can't help but feel miserable for those poor slaves/humans. However, I like the way they're being supportive even though they're stuck in a pretty cruel environment and heal each other's wounds. The CGI is marvellous and executed well. I really don't understand why people bother to complain about the CGI. If you want to complain, you can be the editor and see if you can make a better one.
Also, this drama deserves more attention from the public. I hope the rating can go higher since it's an S+. Go for it. 加油!
P.S. I'm glad when the bigfoot monster killed off centurion Cai (serve him right for torturing innocent people...)

Hoping for the cast to be confirmed 🤞🤞

Side note:
I've been lurking around the comment section and read every single comment that bashed out at the 'oppressive mama trope' 🙄🙄
