Ah, just ignore that crappy rating, then. Happy watching for you.

Note: Don't try to calculate the statistics or your head will explode (I gave a few shots in the past, but the statistics never made sense lol).

Well, the rating will rise up or deteriorate depending the drama's fate. This isn't the first case, either.

As I'm not watching this one, I don't know whether it is good or bad. However, if it is truly that horrible, then the rating does the drama justice. Or this could be another underrated gem too. Who knows... 🤷🤷

Those are the hierarchies of C-dramas in terms of budget, casting, post production, and etc. Usually, an S+ and S are for high-budget dramas while A is for low-budget ones. A+ is way worse than A (mini dramas often fall for this category, according to me).

May I ask what do you mean by 'republican' because I don't get any vibes of a republican era drama from the poster?

Can anybody recommend shows with similar plot like this one?

If you've seen TBOY before, you might recognize some characters tho. It's true that we can't memorize who's who. Fortunately, I still remember a gist of TBOY so I'm not that confused 😅

I also haven't watched Douluo Continent Season 1. At worst, I'll just blast my way through season 2 without knowing the progression of the previous story lol.

After finishing ep 35, I begin to realize that Dongjun is a very loyal friend, indeed. Even though Ye Dingzhi has become a demon and started to push Dongjun away, his trust for him has never wavered a single bit.

2024 is not a very auspicious year for IQIYI. They keep airing flop shows one after another - seems like there's something off with the marketing team.

Thanks for your tip. It works very well 😉😉

Anybody found the OSTs at Spotify already? 🙂🙂

I've been ransacking Spotify for days and still can't find the songs.

Thanks for your very detailed review. It succeeds in discouraging me to continue because I don't want to torture myself with open ending. The pyscho villain doesn't help much either, but he's gotten too much screentime which makes people become frustrated (reminded me of Snow Eagle Lord lol). On the other note, I can feel Gao Weiguang and Ouyang Nana's chemistry, though it's not an explosive one. I also hope Winwin (WayV/NCT) can choose better project in the future🤞🤞

Note: I mean no insult and just want to express my opinion. Moreover, Dashing Youth and Love's Rebellion have taken up a lot of my time too.

Ikr! The romance is underbaked and pretty lame, if you ask me. And don't expect sizzling chemistry from the author because you won't get any. Fortunately, romance is a side dish so I'm not paying much attention to it.

If I'm not mistaken, Muyu kills Changhe with his own hands in TBOY for colluding with Prince Chi aka Xiao Yu (Xiao Se's little bro). I'm still heartbroken by their ending until now and wish he had never killed his brother.

I don't think it's a torture 'cause I can focus more on Dashing Youth and Snowfall

Note: I use 2x speed so that I'm not fed up with the predictable plot, as a expected of a xianxia lol.

No, it's not a malfunction. When the rating has reached a certain point, it will go down 0.2 to 0.3 itself. That's MDL's rating system according to my observation since last year. A very common situation, indeed.

Most of the original source has been changed into a new story, which is a pity because the novel is damn better than this. The Yin Ya I know may be unreasonable, but at least he still has a conscience and stays loyal to his friends instead of betraying them (the novel version). I'm currently at ep 6 so I don't know what will come next.

The lighting is overdone and the choppy editing reminds me of Fox Spirit Matchmaker. So far, the only likeable character is Mu Zhanting and his antics.

I hope the plot will develop smoothly or it will become another flop of the year.

This doesn't seem to be mentioned in the novel tho 😅
